aTm fans act like its shocking that fans of SEC schools don't know many details about the rivalry. Maybe with the exception of Arkansas-Why would we?

Given your inability as a football program to do anything significant, your conference membership is the most important thing to your school which would otherwise be even more irrelevant. Therefore Texas A&M joining the SEC is the most significant thing to ever happen to South Carolina football.

Hey I personally hope it comes back. But to even begin to take the stance that we are the arrogant or petty ones is beyond ridiculous

I can understand A&M not wanting it as much because they play in the SEC West, but it seems like they shouldn't just kill it.

Thank them. We said we were willing to continue it, they refused. They decided they wanted to play their true and most important rival. Let them live with their choice

We didn't.

If texas had agreed to play us when we (and the SEC) were willing to bend over backwards to accommodate them on our OOC schedule, we'd still be playing them.

They wanted to stick it to us by refusing to play and blackballing us out of playing the other big12 schools OOC.

We're simply doing business with them in kind now.

I didn't say it was aTm's fault. I bet it will be back eventually.

Just clarifying that we didn't kill it. Actually, over the course of our rivalry with them, they have always been the ones to threaten to drop the game.

As do I.

Yikes, A&M missing out on owning the state of Texas. Can LSU make them a permanent opponent? We're used to playing one of those most difficult schedules in CFB year in and year out.. let's just replace the Furmans and Towsons with a real game. LSU would probably be happy with that kind of Texas influence.

A&M pissing of the rant means we are doing the right thing. We'll see the Horns plenty in post-season games every now and then. Meanwhile, we get to focus on a nine game SEC schedule that's coming.

That's the last century. The new one has you surrounded by greatness and consigned to also-ran status.

Mizzou ku is a bit different because ku fits perfectly with Pinkel's strategy of scheduling early OOC cupcakes to work out the kinks for the later big games. If the beaks ever want to play again, I'd think Mizzou would take them up on the offer.

Personally, I'd rather schedule Nebraska at Arrowhead. A double to XII...

LSU-TAMU is the perfect thanksgiving game

Perfect for recruiting, an old rivalry brought back up. Contrasting styles of play. Good Ole' Louisiana Texas border battle.

frick UT.

Well I'm going to assume the slights that aTm suffered at the hands of UT are imagined by the aggies since nobody can list one.

Can't even confirm or expound on the two I mentioned for Christ's sake. Only response aggies capable of is

"Well we wanted to keep getting our shite pushed in by UT but they said no first so we're gonna play it cool and say no now"

Why should they do your homework?

Why do you think FOUR teams left the XII??

Do two minutes of Googling, YeaSewanees.
Our administration bent over backwards to make that game work.
And the horns are finally ready to stop their tantrum?
Too bad.
They had their shot.

Texas has had 118 shots and won 76 of them.
