Ivy league school grads are starting to get looked down upon. Entitled kids that are halfway book smart and no way common sense smart.

Y’all just make stuff up for shits and giggles. How the hell would you even know this?

So still well behind the best university in Texas?

According to the Journal's 2024 Best Colleges in the U.S., Texas A&M University - College Station is the state's only top-50 school, ranking 38th overall.

Houston's Rice University also cracked the top 100 at 64th. Notably, the University of Texas at Austin did not make the top 100, coming in at No. 118.

Google tells me The Wall Street Journal also revised its methodology this year to emphasize outcomes over prestige, adding more weight to graduation rates and graduate salaries while trying to measure the impact schools actually have on student success.

My kid is a freshman at A&M this year and loves it. It’s a great school.

The State of Louisiana and LSU are ALWAYS around the bottom of these type of Schools/Education rankings

That's complete bullshite. Louisiana public education absolutely sucks in any rankings. Texas is 26th nationally.

Neither has anything to do with LSU or Texas A&M. I will freely admit Texas A&M is a better overall school. And that may even be considered when applying for your first job. But probably not as important as your major/grades and certainly not when you are applying for your next job.

I have lived in the Houston area for 30 years and have many aggie friends in the engineering/construction field and they will be the first to tell you, they are damn proud of that aggie ring. They will also tell you it didn't do a damn thing for them professionally after the age of 25.
