A&M is going to beat Bama. You might want to stop bitching about them.

I’m more interested what’s going to happen if the are undefeated when they play us and guaranteed a spot in the playoff and sec title game and we lose to UGA and need to beat them.
Will they rest players? Will their fanbase be ok if we beat them?

You know the answer to this.

Honestly I think it will be split. If we are being honest this is unprecedented season for yall. First year in playoff and first conference title berth in decades. If yall lose to us I hope the majority doesn’t care and moves onto the real prize but I know many will still think it’s a wasted season

If A&M loses to Texas and then loses in the first round of the playoffs? People will be pissed regardless of making the playoff.
If A&M goes further, it probably gets overlooked.

While the game would be utterly meaningless from any objective standpoint, that game is never subjectively meaningless to either of our fanbases.

I think if that scenario played out, A&M would not rest players. And the fanbase would definitely care about winning and losing that game.
But if there was already a trip to the SECCG guaranteed, then it would take some of the sting out of a loss, and it would not feel like a collapse.
But we’re still worried about playing Scar at the moment.

Anyone still thinking with that mentality at this point is part of the problem.

Actually A&M will go 13-0 and beat Bama/UGA in the SECCG and then it will be "well, it was a down year in the SEC and you didn't REALLY have to play anybody". I'm here for it.
That said if you actually watch the games you will notice the reason you should be nervous about A&M is that while everyone talks about skill players the strength of the team is they likely have the best OL and DL in the league. A&M can run the ball on anyone and give up almost no sacks. On the flip side they have a ton of negative yardage plays. You may break a run here and there but most of the time it's 2 yards or less and a lot of sacks. You don't want to be in 3rd and long against them. That's why they are so daunting, it's all about the trenches which allow the skill guys to go and work magic.
Bama doesn't run the ball well nor does Texas. Georgia likely has the best OL/DL combo besides A&M. Ole Miss is actually the worst matchup for A&M because they spread the ball out and run which is the most effective way to do it against us. Still in a straight up physical game A&M is the strongest team as evidenced by how they have made so many teams just quit in the 2nd half.
