“A&M bought every player on the team”

And you say Saban did not say Texas A&M bought players.

Say what?

I don't think Saban ever mentioned Jimbo, and certainly he never said Jimbo did anything directly, didn't attack Jimbo's character and didn't imply that he had direct knowledge of Jimbo breaking rules.

Saban repeated articles about NIL that have been in the news lately. He mentioned A&M, but that was not the only team he mentioned.

A&M/Jimbo decided in response to personally attack Saban for repeating those things.

Name a single thing Saban said that was not public knowledge, that was not already being discussed by everyone, and was not an obvious issue for the sport.

He literally said nothing new.

Can y’all not read the entire statement or something? Because he obviously stated prior to each mention that he read or heard about it.

What? Everyone's been reading it. Tell me one thing Nick Saban said last night the people didn't already know.

I mean. It’s literally in the statement that’s been quoted endlessly at this point.

but big sportswriters in this country had questions.

just wait until SEC media days when national reporters start asking non softball questions to these two coaches.

it WILL get interesting. Saban has opened a can of worms, and jimbo ate half the can.

Snakey doesn't have A&M's best interest at heart. He's a slave to Disney and their desires. frick him

Well, he works for the SEC, not Texas a&m.

Can you blame people for making fun of your AD whining about people being mean to Texas a&m when y'all literally refer to everybody or every institution you don't like with childish nicknames?

Or are y'all just doubling down on being a cult like a&m's athletic department is doubling down by all of its biggest figures whining in a public forum?

This is the equivalency of a little brother saying, "I'm going to tell mommy you were mean to me!"

Saban's comments were much more tame than A&M is making them out to be. They're making fools of themselves.

Yes, he says “you read about it, you know who they are.”

Then he starts a new sentence. A new statement on his own

quote:

We were second in recruiting last year. A&M was first. A&M bought every player on their team. Made a deal for name, image and likeness.

He does not say “I read about A&M buying every player.” He makes that definitive statement on his own

Regardless. It’s all semantics.

You have an Aggie in this very thread talking about how Jimbo never mentioned Saban by name in his press conference. Therefore he’s not subject to the same bylaws violations.
