OP's list looks about right to me, with the possible exception of LSU. I've no idea what to expect from them with a mostly new defense and not knowing whether they get bad Mett or good Mett. But Miles seems to find a way and they may have a great defense again.

Aggies lost a lot on defense and recruited a lot of future defensive stars. Whether those new guys play to their potential by the 'Bama game... well, that probably ain't gonna happen. I think the Aggies' best chance is to pull a Cam-led Auburn: decent-enough defense and an unstoppable offense. The season should be fun to watch - again.

Why do we take a step down when we return just as many guys if not more as the teams in these shite-tastic rankings above us? Add in the fact we kept our current staff together and made a nice addition with Cameron

I don't see it being any different than last year. We will have a chance to win every game and I would set the over/under for regular season wins at 10. I think we lose two out of Bama/Georgia/Florida/A&M

We will be better than people think. The argument is always, "you lost so many starters". In reality we return 13 starters total, which ties Bama and Georgia and is more than South Carolina, Florida, and A&M.

On top of that, we tied for first in the country for most freshman played and Mett has a year of SEC experience under his belt. We'll be aight

Yes all those teams return more starters than we do but a lot of our starters ended up injured during the season so the backups got a shite ton of playing time but I understand what you are saying. You played a lot of freshman and still went 10-3 that experience will pay dividends this upcoming season

I remember last year in the preseason posting that UF would beat LSU and everyone flapped their jaws.

UF ranked # 5 in SEC rankings? Nice. I will be here to remind you folks how foolish it was in November.

LSU, UGA were gashed on defense and spare me the backup crap...Im familiar with SEC rosters. The problem with backups is that most dont have the snaps under their belts yet to be elite...in 2014 they will be probably. The problem is injuries and such...you dont have the experience personnel to step in and thats a huge factor.

You dont win the SEC with offense and LSU & UGA will have fine qbs and will put up numbers....but wont be able to stop other teams from putting up numbers.

Whhen I look at the SEC...I see Bama in the west only because Slive must be regular guest at Tuscaloosa Country Club and the schedule for the Tide is laughable....otherwise A&M is my pick. In the east I do think UF will win...but if not...USC will get another chance in Hotlanta.

Because the teams above you lost less impact players and the new starters have proven more than many of yours.

you mean the D? The offense seems like it will be more of the same just smarter play calling/game planning.

Give me some examples to prove you aren't speaking out of your arse. All elite teams are losing impact players. A&M loses two first rounders, Georgia loses arguably their best two players, Bama loses 2-3 first rounders. How is that any different than LSU? What players behind those guys have proved more than the guys behind LSU's?

ETA: I think Florida may even have two guys go in the first round. Half of the first round could possibly be comprised of SEC players

Seems like you're the one that wasn't watching. Who is going to stop the run to replace Logan?

You said this after a quote where I said everything depends on if we can stop the run..... But anyway, Freak will be able to hold his own weight and more hopefully. We really need that other DT spot to step up, and some young guys need to develop fast cause we are paper thin at that spot in terms of returning players. Hopefully the talent at LBs will be able to help out more with the run as opposed to it usually being the other way around at LSU.

ok

He is better in coverage than loston is for sure. He's no ball hawk, but not much different than Eric Reid, he is not as good as Reid was against the run but hopefully we aren't relying on our safeties to make tackles all the time.

if LSU isn't top 5 in the SEC at the end of the 2013, I will not post on the SECr for a whole year. Bookmark this.

At DE y'all have Maclin, Rasco, and Hunter. None have been very impressive thus far.

all of which have been behind Montgomery and Mingo throughout their LSU careers. Rasco has played very well in limited duty and Hunter is just another freak athlete.

quote:

At DT y'all have Ego and Freak. Neither is the run plugger that y'all have had in past years. Plus you have no depth there.

wtf are you talking about? watch LSU play much?

quote:

At CB Jalen Collins is bad. He is a slot CB at best.
as a redshirt Freshman: Appeared in 13 games with one start ... Started in road win over Texas A&M ... Registered 30 tackles, six pass breakups and a pair of interceptions ... Ranked third on team in pass breakups 2012 Freshman All-SEC (Coaches)...ok.....

quote:

At FS Ronald Martin is a bad. Eric Reid will be tough to replace.
Made plays against UGA in the SEC championship game and has been stuck behind Eric Reid an All-American selection. Ronald Martin denies UGA touchdown

please just stop. If you honestly think LSU's defense will be bad, you're doing a great job of kidding yourself.
