During this corona crap, it is worth remembering World War II and its effect on sports. College football, for one, was cancelled, and for good reason. I’m not advocating games be canceled this year. I’m simply pointing out that there are far more important things in life than sports. Sorry if I’m being religious, but during this Holy Week let us devote some time to focus on the realities we are experiencing right now. Hopefully life will resume as usual in a short period of time. I truly appreciate this site and find it helpful in coping with social distancing. Stay safe, tRanters!

I'm with you and I think CFB will be delayed. However, my counterpoint would be, I now realize how cathartic sports are for me personally. It is my main "release" from real life and work and kids, etc.

I sometimes think about how thunderous every SEC stadium will be for that first game after all this insanity.

Yes, it resonates with the saying: You don’t know what you have until you lose it.

College football wasn't cancelled during the war. LSU and other schools played every year. Some schools especially in 1943 didn't field teams.

Preach it! I took sports for granted, no doubt.
