Well of course all that- and you also had the fact that Miss State's basketball team defied the Governor's order and snuck out of the state to compete in the NCAA Tourney against blacks.
You mean the ALL WHITE team representing the SEGREGATED Mississippi State University?
Y'all act like your basketball team wanting to play in the NCAA Tournament serves as some sort of evidence that you're a progressive, tolerant lot. Like shite it does. That basketball team was as lillywhite as the Ole Miss student body pre-Meredith.
Tell me, Fatass, if State's "mentality" with regards to race is so much different than Ole Miss', why'd you wait until 1965 to integrate?

What is plain ignorant is just how bad you are at hiding the fact you are an Ole Miss fan. You are the biggest fake pussy I know. What a COWARD! You represent everything an Ole Miss fan is DIAMOND DOG! You and Slippery Slope and I wish both of you fake Mother frickers would quit being Pussies and quit hiding the fact of who you are a REAL fan of. My God you two do the same thing in every thread. You can say anything in the world you want about me and you may even be right, but the one thing you will never be able to say is that I am FAKE! COWARDS!

The same reason that Ole Miss didn't have another black student after Meredith left in 1963. In 1965 Mississippi passed a law dealing with integration in public schools where in both HS and colleges a few black students integrated schools across the state. State, USM, Delta St, and JUCOs allowed their first black students in 1965 it had a lot to do with the Civil Rights act of 1964
This was overturned in 1970 when full HS integration in MS public schools occurred.

I know that Bundy, and it's good to see that you do as well. You seem to have a good grasp on the history of the situation.
My point, though, in asking that earlier question was to demonstrate that Ole Miss didn't fricking invent racism, nor does Ole Miss have a monopoly on racism, past or present. A lot of State fans (coughCoonassandTheSecWESTcough) seem to think that Mississippi State has been a harmonious utopia of racial equality and tolerance since the damn 1870's. Well it hasn't. No institution in America, especially a pair of universities in Mississippi, can make such a claim.
ETA: shite, it's well documented that busloads of State students came to Oxford to protest the Meredith enrollment. If you were a white Southerner in the early 1960's, there's a solid 99% chance that you were pro Jim Crow, regardless of which school you attended.

Sad , but True.
My grandmaw tells me stuff about the 50's and 60's and OT was a different world back then.

I don't think that any of us can fully understand what was going on then unless we were alive then.
