I feel like since I'm not a fan of either team, I can provide a bit more of an objective view on this game.

So, here we go.

1. LSU's offense is in for a surprise as Alabama's defense is as good as ever this year.
2. Alabama's offense is also going to be stifled, but the established passing game will be too much for the LSU defense that was outmatched against Auburn's less than stellar passing game.
3. Fournette will have 100+ yards, but his YPC will not be very high, as he will probably get 20-25 carries.
4. Etling is not a good quarterback, and he will be pressured early and often. Saying that he is the best LSU QB since Matt Flynn (which many LSU posters have said) is not a very good title to hold, as LSU QB's have been abysmal over the past few years.
5. Even if LSU spreads the field and tries to catch Alabama off guard with a few screens and short slants, the Alabama LB's are too good to be beaten this year. Go watch OM vs. Alabama if you don't believe me.
6. LSU's success newfound success has been against teams that are a combined 10-14 this season, so I'm not buying the Ed O hype quite yet.
7. LSU's defensive line will not necessarily be outmatched vs. Alabama's defensive line, but Alabama has too many looks on offense for the LSU D-Line to generate constant pressure.

In a nutshell, LSU is pumped for this game and will be looking to get a signature win this Saturday, but Saban is the best coach of all time with too many weapons on offense and too many playmakers on defense. LSU puts up a good fight, but are outmatched in the second half, despite having home-field advantage.

Alabama wins 27-19

I will be surprised if they score 3 touchdowns.

TD + PAT + 4 FG's

Or

2 TD's + 2 PAT's + FG + safety

Or

With the score 24-13, LSU scores a TD late, attempts a 2PC to cut it to 3 and fails. Bama then kicks a FG (or it could be 21-13 before the TD and they were attempting to tie. Bama then tacks on 6 more)

Between 4 and 5 YPC isn't bad, which is what he would have at 100 yards and 20-25 carries

The best part is that you were trying to be a smart arse and failed miserably.

Who would be surprised by this?

The frick? Auburn's passing offense is better in literally every measurable statistic.

4. Etling is not a good quarterback

Neither is Hurts. That running around he did vs other teams ain't working against this defense

And Alabama's offensive success has been against garbage defenses. I'm not buying the Alabama offensive hype just yet.
quote:

7. LSU's defensive line will not necessarily be outmatched vs. Alabama's defensive line, but Alabama has too many looks on offense for the LSU D-Line to generate constant pressure.

This is just false.
They have literally three looks on offense. They hand it off, run to the edge with the QB, or they throw a swing pass. That's a glorified triple option, and it is not impressive or unstoppable.

Saban is the best coach of all time with too many weapons on offense and too many playmakers on defense.

"Objectivity" :lol:

Nice analysis, sweetheart. Bounce.

Seriously, 234 passing yards, no touchdowns and only 18 points was due to the LSU defense being outmatched?

I'm not either. But damn I like that 12 non-offensive TDs that Bama has scored through the first 8 games, and I LOVE that defense scoring 56 pts on their own.

No one is saying bama's front 7 hasn't been great. They clearly have. But we're not talking about defensive scores in this game.

Also, if you're depending on defensive scores to win this one, you're going to be disappointed.
