a lot of NFL teams put shite on the sides of the stadium. MLB too.

I seriously doubt that. The banners are used to mask the aesthetically unappealing parts on the exterior of the stadium. We're going to have a whole new facade. DWS doesn't look great now because it's a million years old, but in 2 years it will be almost unrecognizable.
