I love it and hope it keeps up. UF too. The thing is that when they are soooooo bad like the dooley years you kinda want to feel bad for them. But all you have to do is remember when they were good and those feelings go away. UT pre-dooley was unbearable to deal with.

Some of us owned them well before Dooley.

Was the greatest coach in school history packing up and heading north and trying to take recruits with him foreseen?

Most of us expected it. We knew it was a springboard job, even if we wanted to believe Franklin. The new staff looks better from what they have already accomplished. I would chalk them failing miserably as "unforseen".

And yes, I realize there will be a step back this year in all likelihood. We lost too many players. The OOC is a joke, but most teams have 3 cupcakes. We have 4. Even taking one win away was serious improvement. And we still finished with our 3rd best recruiting class. I'm not claiming East contention, just mid-pack...for now.

But in terms of which 5 years you would rather have, Auburn's is an easy choice over SC. SC has four more wins over five years, but Auburn has two SECC to zero for SC and 1 NC to zero for SC.

And had Auburn beaten FSU in January, they'd be #2 in this poll.

I wonder how many posters, honestly, would trade the last 5 years of thier schools for AUs.

That 2010 NC was pretty nice but that 3-9 year...If ya'll had finished 8-5 or 7-6, then probably, sure.

It is worth considering.

LSU won 1 SEC title and lost in the BCSCG. AU won 2 SEC titles and won and lost in the BCSCG.

All four are doing well so it's all good.

And just going on last 5 years it's easily Bama then a big gap. Let's see if a different trend develops.

For last 10 years I would say
Florida, LSU, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, USC, Arky, Tennessee, Ole Miss

Guess it depends on particular time frame. Personally I'm just amped for 2014. You read that TD OP on Whitfield, Harris and LSU? Future looking bright man.

Geez, didn't realize we weren't ranked at the end of 09.

But we lost to Kentucky so we didn't deserve to be.
