Avg. SEC SOS: 21.1

Avg. SEC West SOS: 13.9

Avg. SEC East SOS: 28.4

Avg. Big 10 SOS: 35.6

Avg. PAC 12 SOS: 39.1

Avg. ACC SOS: 43.1

9 total SEC teams and 6 SEC West teams with top 20 SOS compared to 3 Big 10 teams with top 20 SOS.

The B1G may be more top heavy than the SEC this year, but it would be hard to argue that they are the best conference when there average strength of schedule would be good for 12th in the SEC and last in the SEC West.

It's not hard to have the #1 SOS when you finish last in the SEC West and have to face 6 SEC West teams better than you.
