but to manipulate their ballot and force them in isn't right

I think this quote perfectly captures the Alabama entitlement mentality. Alabama is ranked #2 right now only because it's season is over and there is ZERO chance that Alabama will become a two-loss team, unlike the other one-loss teams who still have games to play. Therefore, mathematically, Alabama is the best one-loss team, RIGHT NOW. But the other one-loss teams don't just have 'a game' to play. They have the BIGGEST GAME ON THEIR SCHEDULE to play. A win by OSU over OU is not just another win. It's a big f-ing deal! OSU will have earned it, and will have a bigger win than Alabama's two biggest wins combined. That's something real - something that COMPLETELY changes things. But it hasn't happened yet, so the voters are doing the right thing - waiting to see what happens.

As far as all this rematch crap goes,we had to beat Florida twice a couple years back to win the SEC and the BCSNC.

No you didn't

Both teams were undefeated entering the SEC CCG

Alabama and Florida were the top two teams in 2009 and they only played once that year

Alabama does. Nothing Alabama has done justifies them being jumped. Nothing.

they lost to LSU already, at their HOME stadium.

they didn't win their division.

they didn't win their conference.

Their strength of schedule is weaker than OkieSt.

A lot of things justify Ala being jumped.

You're opinon (and mine). But if OSU beats OU - they will have proven something to a lot of people. It would be a huge win. Bigger than anything Alabama has accomplished.

GTFO out of here with that 9-6 flaming shite.

You're missing the point by trying to flame.

IF voters think OK State is #2, vote them in.

IF they think Bama is #2 and manipulate their poll because: They already played LSU, don't want to see a rematch, Bama didn't win it's conference, etc. Then I disagree. Just vote for #2.

Bama lost their ability to control their destiny so I won't have any problem with them getting left out of the championship, unless it's a screw job.

We will know Sunday.Okie Light isn't even in any conference championship game, this is still regular season.
Played one less game than LSU, and didn't have to win a division and play a championship game.

Nope. Alabama is ranked second because the other teams couldn't hold on to their ranking. They lost the right to bitch when they lost, just like Alabama.

I agree with the rest of your stuff. I just want the voting to be done strictly on who is the best at the end of the year. Not out of spite.

Really? So, what I wrote is not true and is purely insulting? Wow. Great example of the current bama mindset. Stating facts about Bama not playing a game on the last Saturday of the regular season is now flaming and missing the point about the BCS. Sheesh.

The only thing that justifies keeping Alabama #2 is opinion. The opinion that they are the second best team in the country. An opinion that I cautiously agree with but still think OkS would deserve their shot if they beat OU.

Do I think OkS is better than Bama? No probably not, I'm a SEC homer and have a lot of respect for Bama. But OkS deserves a shot when Bama already got to play LSU and OkS will have better credentials in terms of schedule and wins.

The assumption that Bama is better than OkS is just assumption and thinking about it today it is not entirely different from the human bias LSU had to overcome in 2003 (to get to the BCS NCG instead of USC when our credentials were much better than USC's)

First, I didn't reply to you.

Second, he added nothing to the discussion. Just flamed like most of these idiots on the board.

and again for the millionth time, that proves my points. the good ole school yard fight loser. he has lost the last two school yard fights....heck he did not even win the best fighter award in his class(SEC championship), but yet he triple dog dares us to play him a 3rd time. *sigh*

agreed. I too believe Ala to be #2...but belief doesn;t count in real life. Action does and OkieSt if the beat Ok will be the more qualified team, hands down.

Oklahoma State had control of their own destiny with that powderpuff schedule.

Choked it away vs A huge underdog, hell that would be like us losing at Ole Miss.

Had we done that and beaten LSU I can imagine the whining here.
