1. LSU needs to destroy oregon in the opener.

2. uga needs to stop the boise st lovefest before it gets started. You know if they beat an SEC team, they will be singing from the highest mountains about how they really do deserve a shot at the NC. I wish beating one mediocre SEC team a year would get every team all the media love & attention it would give boise. Too bad the rest of the SEC has to play a full schedule of SEC teams.

Gators / OSU in 2006.

Loved how all that arse-grabbin after the bucknutz ran that early kickoff back, turned to fear when florida reeled off about 40 unanswered. I still believe there were about 4 SEC teams that year who would have curb stomped OSU.

Considering osu is 1-9 (thanks arky) against the SEC, I would have to believe that most years there are about 4 SEC teams who could curb stomp osu.

Agreed, but the media had already crowned them #1 in the land that year. There were several pushing the Michigan / OSU rematch for the NC. Florida wasn't supposed to stand a chance according to most of the talking heads.

Really wanted Aub to handle their business against USuCk a few seasons back (think it was '02/'03) so as to help derail the ESPN lovefest.

Four SEC teams that would "curb stomp" OSU? I'll give you that 4 SEC teams could have beaten the '06 OSU team, but not curb stomp.

Don't know about 4, but the way LSU was playing at the end of the '06 season would make that team a candidate.

Except in the case of a few exceptions. I normaly am always for the SEC team in OOC games. And in bowl games I am ALWAYS for the SEC team..... except for 1 very recent occaision.....

the biggest signature win for the SEC (and there have been a bunch of candidates) was Florida beating OSU into the turf

In the upcoming year LSU/Oregon and UGA/Boise will seem like notable games... but really only if teh teams turn out to be similar quality for teh year as a whole

Ole Miss losing to Jack state was so ridiculous it was funny more than embarrassing...

I want UGA to throat chop Boise in the opener next year so they can't chirp about what they "deserve" for the rest of the year.

You can forget the "home field advantage" in the Georgia Dome. Boise will be highly ranked and favored with their veteran starting QB and most of their offense in tact. Our will have to make huge strides during the off-season to keep Kellen Moore & Co. in check. They will miss Pettis for sure but they have other good receivers and their best RB, Doug Martin, will be back. It will likely take UGA's best game of the year to upset them.

Any time an SEC team plays Notre Dame, Ohio State, Boise, Texas or USC.

Maybe I take too much for granted... but I'd consider PSU beating Bama a mildly shocking upset

Even tho it's at PSU

I hope Georgia beats Boise 100-00 next year!

Also, I badly wanted Arkansas to beat USC when they played.

This is mine. This was the most embarrassing loss for the SEC recently.

Highly ranked SEC team gets owned by mid major on big stage.
