On Bama fans:
Living in Augusta, GA (border town with SC) you'd expect plenty of UGA, Clemson, and SC with a potpourri of other car insignia mixed in. Well the Scripted A of Bama has increased in numbers around here in direct proportion to Saban's success over the last 5 years to the point where they outnumber all others except UGA. Conclusion: Big Bandwagon base with no REAL affiliation to the University...everyone loves a winner and these folk seem to equate Bama's success with their own to improve their putrid little lives.
It's been evading me all this time, but I finally understand the origins of the famous descriptor Crimson Tide. It relates to the fact that when that pro team finally does lose a game, there is such epic vaginal bleeding throughout the Southeast, that it runs the rivers and estuaries of Alabama and Georgia red and overcomes Mobile Bay!
On unexpected parity in the league:
Don't look now but VANDY is having as much success in this conference as Texas A&M without a Heisman QB and legendary college athlete. Both finished 4-4. Think about the disparity in the money, facilities, booster support, and shear fan numbers between these two programs and let that sink in a bit.
On Saban and the Mythology that surrounds him:
Finally, what the hell was Saban thinking sending out a kid to kick a 57 yarder with 1 second left when you have the athletes that he has at his disposal to win a redzone battle in OT? His answer was that he sees that guy make sixty yarders every day in practice. Really?!!! That's the explanation you want to go with, Nick?
Instead of sending death threats to the kickers of this team, the Bama faithful should remove Saban's privates from their hind parts so they can turn around and look squarely into the eyes of the 5'3'' Diva that cost them their 3rd trophy in a row.
Peace out.

Can't disagree.

Meh. Anyone getting so angry over this game that they send death threats need to frick off. Saban has brought our program wayyyyy too much success for us to make a huge deal over this.
It is what it is. We lost. Its over. We need to move on. Look forward to our bowl game.
