9-3 team scenario

Utah, BYU, and Miami are all waiting outside looking to take spots of 3 loss SEC teams

10-2 SEC=playoffs

9-3=you leave it up to chance and probably won’t get in. Committee would be fine throwing in Utah and BYU, they are positioned to take advantage of any slip-up

Take them all to playoffs. Except Texas.

I don't believe a 3-loss team makes the playoffs...but in this scenario...

Texas would have 2 conference losses and wins over (rankings when they played): #6 Oklahoma, #9 Vanderbilt and current #3 Texas A&M. 2 of their 3 losses would be to top 5 teams (Georgia and Ohio State). They have 1 bad loss to Florida.

Missouri would have 3 conference losses (including losses to the Vanderbilt and Texas A&M teams that Texas will have beaten). So, while they don't have a bad loss, that would drop them below Texas in the list.

Oklahoma would have 3 conference losses (including to Texas)...so that would also put them behind the Longhorns.

Tennessee would have 3 conference losses with them being to the 3 top teams they faced all season. No big wins would hurt them and keep them behind Texas.

Vandy would have 3 conference losses, including 1 to Texas...so they would be below them as well.

Bama with 3 conference losses, with one being to horrible Auburn would keep them out as well.

Again, I don't think a 3-loss team gets in...but in this scenario, if one did it would be Texas.

A&M is not losing the last two games. But being a Mizzou fan I completely understand your thought process.
