What a melt. Is this the new SEC answer to every issue - a 9 game schedule is now the nightmare of the SEC?

That is pathetically weak. You guys can come up with better excuses than that. At least you use to.

The real answer is your teams just aren’t as good as they use to be and your coaches aren’t nearly as good as they were five years ago. Did a 9 game schedule cause Stockton to be a turnover machine last night? Did a 9 game schedule cause DeBour’s player to pack it in yesterday? Did a 9 game schedule cause Texas to suck yesterday and for Florida’s backup QB to play great?

That's easy to say when you play 3 ranked teams a year.

This has nothing to do with the 9 game schedule.

W-L affects the rankings

Once you lose 3 games you drop to a ranking level that the CFP will not consider.

Week 7 is already an elimination week.

I.E. The loser of the LSU - Auburn game will be eliminated from playoff contention.

This would not be the case if you started with an extra warm-up game.

You currently have 6 SEC programs with 2 losses. With a 9 game conference schedule, 6 of those teams have no chance at a playoff berth.

We are not even at the midpoint of the 13 week rotation, and only 6 SEC teams still have a shot at a playoff berth.

With the added attrition involved, the SEC will be lucky to get 4 teams in the playoffs.
