There are plenty of unranked 8-4 teams.

Iowa State at 8-4 is the only ranked team under 9 wins for Big 12. I DGAF where they are ranked; just that any SEC team not named Georgia or Alabama are artificially ranked higher due to “the model” of a defeatist 8 conference game schedule....

Was watching it as well. Hence the “game thread” part. Yet somehow you could not post. Only afterwards could you come in and offer your thoughts. Almost seems like you were (dare I say it) scared.

What does that have to do with the scared 8 game conference schedule the SEC runs to artificially raise the ranks of middle tier teams?

You needed wins against Abilene Christian and UTSA to make a bowl. You are making yourself into a caricature by your posting.

What does that have to do with subject of thread? Please keep up. No real explanations for this artificial scheduling BS other than “if it’s not broke, don’t fix it.”

You’re making a strength of schedule argument. Perhaps you don’t understand your own argument.

Strength of Schedule is a fairy pixie dust FAKE NEWS stat. SOS is based on wins and losses; when the SEC refuses to expand to 9 conference games.... they are doing so to prop up their middle of the road teams which then makes the good teams wins look even better....
If they play 9 conference games; three SEC teams DROP OUT OF THE TOP 25

It doesnt matter where 7 or 8 win teams are ranked, why do you care? It doesnt affect bowl position, it doesnt affect actual SOS.

I’m not talking about a stat. I’m talking about actual strength of schedule.

Another Big 12 fan that doesn't understand math. Conference records always end up 50-50. The Big 12 plays 90 conference games a year. The record is always 45-45. If they played 80 games a year the record would always be 40-40.

SOS is based on wins and losses;
A fricking infographic has now been posted twice on this and you still keep saying this incorrectly.
SOS is not based on just your oppponent's W/L, it ALSO includes your opponent's opponent W/L.
I.E. playing 10 Sun Belt teams that end up a combined 70-50 is NOT better or even the same as than playing 10 power 5 teams that end up a combined 70-50. How you cant grasp this basic concept is mind numbing.
Playing an extra OOC game is NOT helping the SEC's SOS, it's hurting it.

I’m not ignoring it.... scheduling a FCS team rather than a conference game nullifies a guaranteed loss of 7 additional games.... HOW DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THIS.
Using SOS as an argument is invalid when conferences play different amount of in conference games. SOS IS LITERALLY IRRELEVANT

Again, playing a REALLY BAD TEAM is not better for your SOS you nitwit. It's not about their W/L only, it's about your opponent's OPPONENT W/L as well. This is how basic SOS is calculated. This is why playing a 6-6 mid-major is NOT as good as playing a 6-6 power 5 conference team generally speaking. They ARE NOT equal in the eyes of SOS.
As you can plainly see from the infographic I've posted TWICE now some teams have a WORSE opponent record than teams below them, because, once again, SOS is NOT JUST BASED OPPONENT'S W/L
