Not confusing at all. I took what you first posted and went with that.
So why were you acting like I said something I did not? I said he's not #2 overall good, but is still very good. When I said he's not THAT good, I'm referring to being a #2 overall pick.

Not really. Lattimore had 1200 yards as a freshman and 17 touchdowns. Davis had 163 yards and 4 td's.
Latt was hurt in his second season so obviously his numbers won't be as good. He never played an entire season. And he still almost had as many touchdowns, 10, as Davis had in a full second season, 14, with about 50 less carries.
You lose homer.
When Davis was the feature back he had a better season than Lattimore when he was a feature back. Simple as that.
LOL at you trying to compare a season where Davis barely even played to a full season of starting for Lattimore. Using that logic, Jordan Jefferson is a better QB than Tyler Wilson because he had better numbers in 2009 than Tyler.
And you are saying that Lattimore never played an entire season? Seriously? Go back and look as 2010. He had touches every single game. The Florida State game he only had one, but he also had an extra game to play in the SEC Championship.
e: just saw he didn't play at Vandy so there is one.

Wow, not one top 25 prospect from Bama? Not gonna happen IYAM.

Latt was also a true freshman that year. Which makes an even stronger case for the Latt > Davis argument.
I disagree but to each their own. Hopefully we will get a good comparison this coming season. However, with Petrino gone we might not see as potent of an offense as before.

Latt and Davis are the same age

So what? We have Arkansas fans trying to either compare second year numbers for Davis against first year numbers of Latt, or comparing numbers of a second season in which Latt had his season cut short by an injury.
Latt is the better player in a system that makes productivity that much harder because the quarterback play is so suspect.

David Amerson should be the only corner talked about when talking about a top 15 pick.
Johnathan Banks, Johnny Adams, and Xavier Rhodes have good chances.

Experience and age are two different elements here.
Davis had his best year as a sophomore, and Latti as a Freshman. Latti was also on his way of having another fine year as a sophomore before injury. With that said I think Knile Davis is a talented runner, and would have loved to seen him without injuries.

Yeah, but he's built like an NFL back, and should be drafted pretty high, but first round shocks me.
He has been horrible in pass blocking situations, is obnoxiously fumble prone because he doesn't carry the ball high and tight, and can't catch the ball that well. He is really fast, really big, and has had some really big games, but he would have to play a lot better to warrant being the second or third back taken in the draft, imo.
he was more the lightning to Cyrus Gray's thunder right?

You are welcome to your own opinion I guess

Does it really matter? If both are healthy they'll be 1st round picks, who goes 1st? It might come down to the combine, and if it does Knile will win that one easily.

I'm not trying to take anything away from Davis, who is a great player in his own right. I just disagree with the other poster. To even insinuate that it's not even a question is ridiculous. JMO.

He is a workhorse, but he still hasn't absolutely WOWed people against the better teams he's played (SEC). He's been very steady, but steady doesn't get you to be the #2 overall pick as a RB in the draft. Check out his average per rush against SEC teams...

Ok but Davis has never been the feature player for Arky. Imagine if SC had Arky's passing attack to get the defense having to play primarily for the pass and then got to hand it off to Lattimore?

Now imagine if Davis was in SC's actual offense with an average passing game that is run 1st? If that were the scenario it wouldn't even be comparable.
