Are you denying the mountain of QBs who were put into the fire with a bad line and they got seriously injured or made them hear footsteps for their career? It’s not personal, I hope he works out and can survive this but there’s a reason the Browns are the Browns and the great teams have their studs spot for a year or two.

Aikman was sacked 11 times in one game vs the Eagles his rookie season. Gonna say he turned out ok.

Remember Cam threw for over 400 yards his first two games.

In recent history? Like who? I get the Andrew Luck scenario but he still had some big seasons and pro bowls.
So I don't think he heard "footsteps" his entire career.

QB's are more protecte now than they ever have been and your scenario may have been accurate 20+ years ago but not so much these days.

I'm not sure where you're getting this 50% number but the vast majority of QB's who flush out just aren't good enough to play the position.

Having said that, there's no reason to believe Burrow won't be successful.

I'm genuinely concerned for his safety, the bengals may as well set up traffic cones to block for Joe. It's incredible how bad they are. I thought he played pretty great considering he was running for his life the whole night.

What happened to Joe Mixon? Wasn’t he pretty good last year? Why is Cincy throwing the ball 60+ times a game?

I think it was because they were behind the whole game . Look at attempts in week 1 where they were leading most of the game. That will be the norm 61 attempts will be an outlier.

Ypa is a reflection of the o line . He doesn't have enough time for deep routes and the short passes were moving the ball. Hes accurate enough to have a long drive with a bunch of quick throws. He doesn't have issues completing those passes to make for long drives.

Hes been off on deep throws and that's not like him . I think the pressure is keeping him from being comfortable to step into a deep throw with confidence. We all know that wont be an issue when he gets a better line and more comfortable. Joe will not struggle with accuracy on deep passes going forward imo he threw such a good deep ball at lsu ,that doesn't just disappear
