... two of them multiple titles.

And then there is LSU in the West.

To all those with baseball trophies in their trophy cases ...

I think it is 5, not 6

2 for South Carolina
2 for Vanderbilt
1 for Georgia
1 for Florida
1 for Missouri (in the Big Six?)

0 for Tennessee
0 for Kentucky

I used tonight's game to drink a lot.

I'm almost done now though. Only 33 more minutes to go.

I feel like this just further reinforces how hard it is to build a baseball program in the East.

..... and the crazy part is Belle, Kentucky has had some really good teams with great players.

And never made it to Omaha.

Boggles my mind sometimes.

Great facilities too.

No, while the state has been successful at the youth level it has never been a big success at the college level. I think a lot of that had to do with the Reds just an hour north.

If it happens it happens but don't expect the NCAA to help.

UK should have hosted at least 2 regionals but the NCAA seemed obligated to give it to B1G hosts instead. One was the disaster where UK went 21 innings and got robbed because I think the umps were tired. When you looked at the replay the hit clearly did not leave the park but no TV coverage at the time. Another was when Purdeu got to host but it was in Gary, Indiana just outside of B1G's HQ. (outside Chicago).

On the bright side, UK women have made a WCWS

WCWS Titles
1983 Texas A&M (in SWC)
1987 Texas A&M (in SWC)
2012 Alabama
2014 Florida
2015 Florida

WCWS Appearances
12 Alabama
12 Texas A&M (only 1 as SEC school)
11 South Carolina
10 Florida
7 Tennessee
7 Missouri (none in SEC yet)
6 Louisiana State
4 Georgia
2 Auburn
1 Kentucky

0 Arkansas
- Vanderbilt (Dores have no softball team)

Very impressive. Obviously AU, AL, MS, and Ole Miss hurt the west chances.
