clearly you are missing the fact that he was an outstanding player last year for us and now is a main contributor on our offense....so yeah, he is underrated af

And the jury is still out on his potential??? He is fast, elusive, has good vision and great hands out of the backfield. There is not jury. His potential is off the charts.

I'm actually a big fan of KJ's. I really liked him last year and adding 15 lbs or so was exactly what he needed to do. I agree that he has tons of potential. But that wasn't the question. The question is about who is the most underrated. To me, that means that they are getting it done, without getting credit for it for whatever reason...usually because there is a more high profile player at the same position that gets all the accolades...like Guice, or A Stewart. Potential wise, yeah...prolly underrated...but come on. We are jumping the gun a bit at this point. He had 200 yards and 3 TD's last year. Now is his chance...I think he will make the most of it...the jury is still out because HE HASN'T YET. Flashes one season and a good game against Arkansas State doesn't get you top 5 underrated player in the SEC status.

The bama fan that tried to downplay KJ said the "jury is still out on his potential." Which was dumb of him.

Not sure if punters are allowed, but Logan Cooke is worthy.

Amen to that. Miss those many years when LSU maintained one of the best punting games in the country. Current guy is not up to par as of yet.

Quincy Wilson

Overshadowed by Jalen Tabor, but one of the best cornerbacks in the SEC.

Will people accept the nomination of Zach Cunningham or Ralph Webb? Cunningham's gotten some preseason love, so he's not exactly overlooked, but your average SEC fan probably doesn't know him because, well, it's Vandy. He's a monster tackler and run-stopper. And nobody ever mentions Webb amongst the elite RBs in the SEC -- which, given the strength of the position in the SEC, is understandable -- but he's practically carrying our offense on his shoulders. He's not a human highlight reel, he's a guy who'll get you a desperately-needed first down. Lots of teams would love a guy like that.

Stringfellow got overlooked due to Laquon being Laquon last year. He's tall, athletic, physical, and fast. He'll be a first round pick this year.

I love Stringfellow. Hell, he's my favorite player on the team... however, he will not be a first rounder. Probably a 3rd-4th. He'll run a 4.6

I wasn't trying to downplay him, at least not how you think. His sample size is just not large enough to justify lofty considerations yet.

"Jury is still out" is not the same as "guy sucks". He averaged 4 YPC last year. He was great receiving out of the backfield, but even then it was only 18 catches.

This year his YPC is up so far, but he's played Arkansas State and Clemson. Against Clemson, he was at 4.1 YPC and failed to break 100 yards. I also note that was never asked to be Auburn's premier back last year, never topping 9 carries (against Kentucky, in which he averaged 4.0 YPC). I'm not discounting his raw potential, but his overall potential? I haven't seen anything yet that proves he is a primetime RB at the same caliber as AU's previous players in that role.

But hey, if you want to take it like I'm trying to shittalk some kid at AU, got for it. You've probably made up your mind that anything I'll say is geared towards that anyway.

If we wait until they're seniors, we're going to get the dregs because really good ones will get noticed. I agree with the Auburners. Kerryon has looked damned good so far this season and if he didn't have a name like Kerryon, he'd probably be a relative unknown.

this Drew Morgan is an absolute beast

hell you could put our whole receiver core as underrated players, they are all beasts in some respect and if it hits their hands its getting caught.

I'm sorry..."fine"? Is this in a "whatever you decide, it's fine" sense?
