Exactly what I am saying. If LSU had the ball and thrown for a first I would have said "frick...that's a first". It was that obvious in the stadium.

In that situation at EVERY stadium in college football if it had been close people wouldn't be high fiving... they would be saying "damn... is that a first?? That is close". It was 4th and 18 and everyone in the stadium... A&M and LSU fans... KNEW where the marker was. If they didn't they saw the replay. I have yet to see a single post from an LSU fan that was actually at the game say it wasn't a first. They knew it also.

Once again... in the stadium the SEC Network did not impose that yellow line you saw on TV. I had no idea there any question about it until Sunday morning when I got on the rant.

Do people in the stadium usually want a measurement when he clearly got a first down by a yard and a half?

Can anyone begin to imagine the outcry from LSU fans if the refs had STOPPED the clock to measure for a first down that was 1 1/2 yards past the stick??? The LSU fans would be bitching a fricking storm about refs stopping the clock for no reason to allow A&M to get set. Ridiculous.

That was the only call that still holds water to be controversial. They should have at the very least reviewed it. It was a bang-bang play, but we had a legit argument on that one. Everything else is irrelevant.

LSU's HC could've demanded a review.

Isn't the clock guy an AGGIE? WHY TF is he still running the clock out on his own team??!!

Oh... I just answered my own question.

it's bang-bang and hardly incompetence or referee conspiracy
it's not that. it's the preponderance of all the calls together.

The whole thing is a moot fricking point by now anyway because we know from looking at the line of scrimmage and the down and distance display that the sticks were 18 yards away. Seeing the fricking sticks on the sideline corroborated this.

We saw aggy make a 19-20 yard play. The entire impetus of this shitty gripe is that the chain gang should have measured the spot because the pretend TV line was visibly in the wrong place.

There was no illegal formation
if you're talking about the play where the left tackle was uncovered, i have seen some people say he had the wrong number for a receiver. therefore, ineligible. therefore, illegal formation. the 2 people on twitter who commented on the play did not mention that

The chain gang measures to see shite like if the nose of the ball crosses the first down marker.

I literally have never seen them measure off when the spot is six feet past the sticks.

NOLA did an article on some of the "bad calls" but there are still some they failed to discuss.

Was LSU Jobbed?

Hey, tough game, not sure how my heart survived

I knew on our last possesion of the game when Burrow was meandering around the backfield instead of going for the first down, that we weren't going to win. Then after the interception and Gatorade bath, the team shut it down and never seemed to get it back. Kudos to you guys for making those big plays.

These are 3 of the most bitched about plays that have clear evidence that they were correctly called. No amount of video or still photos will change anyone's mind about the incomplete/fumble play. No amount of video will change most people's mind about the PI. Tom Luginbill and Peter Burns said on the SECN this morning show there was clear PI. I couldn't tell.

The supposed "illegal formation" was in fact legal. Even Louisiana papers are saying this.

Did an A&M RB move and not get called for it? Yes.

The SECN also said Devin White should have been flagged for targeting on Mond on the knee play. Saw the replay and they are 100% correct. Had the interception stood and we lost we would definitely be bitching about that. The time lost because of the refs when we went out of bounds at 5 or 6 seconds could have easily cost us the game. You guys don't want to acknowledge those 2 plays. I get it... the conspiracy boat is pretty much sunk don't you think?

It is. tAggyArk sank it.

To lsufan's credit, they seem bound and determined to go down with it, though

Looking at the stats, all are pretty dead even:

First Downs:
LSU 31
A&M 33

Total Yards:
LSU 496
A&M 521

Passing Yards:
LSU 281
A&M 287

Rushing Yards:
LSU 215
A&M 234

Turnovers:
LSU 1
A&M 1

Time of Possession:
LSU 28:30
A&M 31:30

EXCEPT Penalties

LSU - 10 for 70 yards
A&M - 3 for 24 yards

I am not saying that the refs swallowed whistles or anything, but apparently, A&M played near mistake-free football.

Before the OT, A&M had only one 5-yard penalty during regulation. In OT they got a 15-yard PI and a false start on the last play.

During OT, LSU had 5 penalties:
Personal foul - 8 yards
False start - 5 yards
Delay of game - 5 yards
Pass Interference - 1 yard
Unsportsmanlike Mouthing off the Ref (GREEDY!!!) - 1 yard
