I'm not beating my chest for UT. I'm questioning all these narratives and talky-talk out there suggesting that LSU's defense is similar to an early Miles era defense in spite of any supporting evidence
I’ve watched every single LSU football game since 00. This is Top 3 in most talented D’s we’ve had. Just have to avoid too many injuries bc we are kinda thin at CB.

I think LSU wins.Just don't get Texas being ranked so high with all the starters they have to replace and I don't think Ehlinger will be all that effective vs those LSU db's.
I didn't watch much of the Southern but it seems as though you guys showed a lot of your new offense against em and I was a little surprised you didn't play it a little more conservative and not show much of the offense to Texas.

It doesn't matter what LSU showed in the Georgia Southern game with regard to their offense.

Charlotte Sooner with a red hot take!
I don't think you know your place around here.

I know exactly my place around here. To educate people who think one game of playing spread offense means they're going to go into Austin and own a team that's been facing the most elite, advanced spread offenses in college football for the last 20 years because they blew out Georgia Southern with a few forward passes.
They won't have anything whorn hasn't seen before. Not even close. Tell me more about their super-secret playbook they should be hiding though.....
You sound silly.
Who had the "red hot take" here?

People are talking about their defense like it's an early Les Miles era defense. I don't think it is.
It’s not an early Les Miles defense. It’s not a 4-3 base D like they ran then, but it is every bit as talented as the early Les defenses. It’s also the first year Dave Aranda’s 3-4 base defense has the right personnel at every position to put every playcall option on the table. It’s dangerous as hell.
The biggest deviation from Les Miles’ tenure this year is the offense.

I know what kind of defense Aranda runs. I wasn't talking about the scheme. Nobody is questioning the talent levels of your defense.

Fine...my point stands. For the first year at LSU, Aranda has the talent, experience and depth at every position to be able to implement every aspect of his defense.
Several years of recruiting to his scheme pays off this year.

Facing a spread offense, and stopping them are two totally different things. All these soft Big 12 defenses, including Texas and Oklahoma, struggle mightily in that area. If they annually struggle to stop Texas Tech, they will certainly have their hands full with an offense as deep as LSU.

Except you did question it. Miles also never ran a D at his time at LSU. We always had good coordinators.
Also nobody is saying Texas hasn’t seen spread offenses before. We are saying Texas hasn’t really been good on defense at all in the last 5 years or so. LSU has a good QB and athletes everywhere. Texas will struggle to slow them down bc they weren’t good last year and lost 8 guys.

Hilarious. We heard all your bullshite leading up to the Rose Bowl and your unstoppable offense.Your not "educating" anybody about Big 12 offenses that can't win a CFB playoff game.
BLAH,BLAH,BLAH,BLAH.

Your offense is nowhere near the level of Tech's. If it were, you'd be challenging for the SEC championship every year.

You guys really believe Burrows is a good QB based off of his performance against Georgia Southern?

arse kickings don't result in OT games. Try again.

Nice moral victory. Maybe that’s why you guys struggle in big games. Oklahoma is the most overrated program in college football.

No it didn't. I watched that game and remember it well. Mahomes was running around throwing darts everywhere. Your defense made everybody around him look average. He threw for 370 yards and 4 TDs. That's not "average". He was the only good player in that game on the Tech side.

[quote]Neither team has a decided advantage just because it's hot, but whichever team can be more efficient and put more of the burden on the opposing team's defense early and often could be a difference maker...
I think LSU definitely has a decided advantage when it comes to depth on defense. Texas defense will be pushed to the limits. LSU can sub multiple players at a time on defense and not miss a beat.
