if it could get jake holland off auburn i bet gus would.

But yea, any coach would be reactive, not proactive in these situations. In a coaches ideal world they coudl do everything ouside of the media.

Especially coaches that are notoriously hateful of the media.

Saban doesn't generally comment on discipline unless asked. He could have as easily suspended him Monday without calling attention to the incident to the media.

I don't know many coaches that would call the media and say a player is suspended before it's gotten out that he's been arrested.

That's flat out idiotic.

Okay, let's assume Saban "disciplined" Williams on Monday following his knowledge of his gun charge arrest. The next day, after he is made aware of his FELONY arrest for robbery, he then suspends him? Thug should have been shown the door and kicked off the team. If I'm one of those victims, I've already retained an attorney, but we are talking about a mindset in which the victim probably will issue any apology to Williams for hurting his knuckles with his face, and scuffing his shoes with his ribs.

Do you really think Saban finds out about the arrests of his football players from the freaking media??? Assuming that my theory is true, why did Saban wait until Tuesday to suspend Williams? Because NOBODY knew about it and it could have been swept under the rug, but the idiot decides a good follow up to his gun charge would be to go out and rob multiple people.

Shades of Penn State/Sandusky here. Cover, cover, ....oh shite!
You have no clue when Saban suspended these players. All you know is the date and time the suspension was "released" to the public.

That's one of many things I appreciate and admire about Coach Saban - there's a time and place for everything - and just because the public "thinks" they need to know something doesn't mean he will jump through hoops to satisfy the masses.

Nope, your boy Williams and his merry men did.

Penn State didn't get hammered for Sandusky's actions, and Nixon didn't resign because the Watergate Hotel got burglarized....

Why do we keep having to make these assumptions for you to get to your point? There are more reasonable assumptions that can be made.

I think Saban could have made a stronger initial statement, but I never blame someone for trying to learn all of the facts before making a decision. It isn't like their is a game coming up or anything.

If I'm one of those victims, I've already retained an attorney
Maybe they have. I doubt their attackers have much from which to recover though.

You seem to have a preconceived notion that you want to fit the facts into.

Why are you so angry about this shite though? Let it play out dude - it has nothing to do with AU.

Damn, I'd think you Aub's would be sitting back having a laugh that Bama has a black eye over this shite.

How many people that have been placed on IS returned to the team?

Not that it make a difference, but that kid was kicked outta the marine corps. He was starting shite the whole night with JJ. That being said, JJ shouldve just left, too much to lose. Sometimes I wonder what goes thru these player's heads.

I love the word groupthink. It's such a perfect oxymoron.

No one except Auburn fans thinks they will stay on the team.

Calloway's is just a misdemeanor charge, but he already has a weed charge.

There is a large portion(not all) of Au fans who aren't mocking and seem pretty serious. There are plenty of ITAT and NtY'ers in here.

No there isn't. From what I see there are probably a handful at best that seem serious. Majorirty of us are making fun of your fanbase. Take the mocking of your hypocrisy like a man. Quit making excuses.

If the police reports are accurate and the players admitted to the crimes, they will be dismissed form the team.

Calloway, who apparently knowingly used a stolen student ACT card to make a purchase or two, might have a chance to get reinstated. However, since he got in trouble once already for pot, I suspect he has to go as well.
