VOLS with 5 of the top 12 shows how bad the portal must be.

Eric Gray is a ballplayer. That's a great pickup by OU.

Shouldn't this by all metrics give Florida a top 5 recruiting class?

Gray is very good.

Morris and To’o To’o are very limited.

Chandler is a bit player.

Too early to say on Lawrence.

No idea how 247Sports can justify ranking him lower than Bowman. Here's the justification they gave for ranking Bowman #2 overall:

quote:

He rushed nine times for 36 yards in two games before opting to transfer. But 247Sports remains extremely high on Bowman, who ranked as the No. 2 overall back in the 2020 class, per the Top247. Bowman is a true home run hitter with 10.69-second 100-meter speed and has proven production (11.8 ypc as a HS junior) against high-level competition at Lakeland High School in Florida.

They're using HS Junior highlight tapes. What the hell.

How is Chance Campbell ranked 44/50? He finished second in the Big Ten in tackles per game.

What a terrible list of rankings. Mckenzie Milton has accounted for over 90 touchdowns, 2 heisman top 10s and a national title. He's clearly number 1.

Hey sog i'll ask you this cuz you seem to know a thing or two about cfb and troll less then most ,but anyone else's guesses are welcome.

Tuesday morning last week or two weeks ago ,not sure which, coach o was on the radio and said that they looked at 3 different linebackers in the portal that had contacted them and that they considered before they picked up mike jones jr. I believe that we were only gonna take a guy with two years left of Eligibility. I think theres a rule that we couldn't take a guy with only one year left because of cox not graduating last year. I could be wrong but I heard something along those lines.

They needed a guy that could cover but play mlb too which is where we will try jones at ,according to coach o

Anyway, who do you think the other two were? It would be a guy with two years left. Any idea who has two left ?

Except for the whole 2+ years off from a catastrophic leg injury thing.

I assume To'To but I don't really know much about anybody else in the portal, so I'm probably not a very good one to answer on this.

Maybe the kid from Southern Cal?

Not sure what he has left in regards to eligibility . Didnt realize how few lb were on this list. I doubt we would want anyone that wouldnt be considered a top 50 transfer though. So maybe it's just the guy from ole miss and the Tennessee lb

His career accomplishments are so far ahead of any other transfers that he should still be number 1.

I feel like going from Auburn to Tennessee was a major downgrade for him.

I know lsu fans do,but do the rest of yall remember the ,linebacker/speed edge rushing tweener and 5 star recruit, named marcel brooks ?

He played on 2019 lsu team and he was the guy that hit trask on the hip in 2019 and got called for roughing the passer . He transferred to tcu and didnt play much at olb or lb in general.

Anyway, tcu moved him to freaking wide receiver this off season. That's crazy, dude had so much potential. He was about as big a tweener as you can be . He was a big loss for lsu ,we thought at the time. It's a shame hes gonna waste away at tcu

It wouldn't make any sense for him to. I guess 247 could just not have updated him since the coaching change.
