Even with Brainless Napier losing more than he reeled in the 7th ranked class last on NSD Florida is deep in talent and GA is up the road.
The elite players will stay home more when/if UF hires a competent HC.
Hopefully they have learned that the up and comer BS doesn't work.
The up and comer is the only chance Florida has. You don't hire the GOAT coach, the GOAT coach becomes that after he is hired as an up and comer.
When Saban was hired at Alabama, he was not the GOAT. He had a single NC at LSU. Which is more than most, but he became the GOAT while at Alabama.
Urben Meyer was an up and coming coach when Florida hired him. He had 0 NC. He won them and become known as a great coach while at Florida.
I think Florida fans do 2 things - over estimate the pull of their program and under estimate the effects of playing the most difficult schedule possible 2 years in a row.

I'll agree with this.
Usually the hires that seem like homeruns rarely meet expectations. There are way more Rich Rod's at Michigan that don't turn out.
Looking back some of the best hires over the last several years were not sexy at first. Heupel, Elko, Lanning... etc. I don't remember Ohio State being excited about Day.
If I were Florida, I'd hire Scotty Walden at UTEP. He's going to be a big time coach somewhere.

Do you not know how to read? Anything prior to 2020 doesn’t f****** matter. Also, Florida state has been much more nationally relevant in that span than yall. Went undefeated 2 short seasons ago. Something yall haven’t sniffed since 2009. It’s hard to accept reality sometimes but your job just isn’t what it used to be. If coping on a message board is your medicine then by all means keep at it buddy.

I addressed since 2020 you idiot.
Then I addressed the only 2 coaches (historically) comment.
Can you read?

Can read just fine. Be sure to check back in with me when Ole Miss announces Lane’s extension. You are fired up now. Can’t wait to see your melt when our “trash program” retains the guy yall have been obsessing over for 2 years now. Enjoy y’all’s 4-8 season!

Who's yall? No obsession here.
Many UF fans would like Kiffin but there are also many who don't want Kiffin although I think he would be a great fit.
Regardless UF will be fine.

There’s nothing at UF he can’t accomplish at Ole Miss
Why are we sure about this? Florida has historically accomplished much more than Ole Miss ever has.

When are you morons going to realize that anything before 2020 doesn’t f**king matter. It’s a new era. 20 years ago was the Florida job better than ole Miss? Absolutely. Now? A lot harder to answer. Wins and losses since the start of the NIL/Transfer era indicate that Ole Miss is the better job (we have the third most conference wins behind Georgia and Bama since the start of 2021). Just because you used to be good (yall really have only had two coaches ACTUALLY win big there), doesn’t mean you will be good in this era. Look at yall, Auburn, Nebraska, USC, Oklahoma (more recently), Florida state (been better than yall more often than not since 2020). I could keep going. It is going to be so fun to watch yall melt when the new Ole Miss/Kiffin contract is announced.
That is football ignorant. So you actually think that if Kiffin did go to Florida that Ole Miss would still be better than Florida? Everyone knows that would not be true.
Ole Miss fans have done this with every coach. They got cocky with Brewer, Tuberville, Cutcliffe, Orgeron, Houston Nutt, Freeze, and now Kiffin. They act like they are a dynasty whenever they have 2-3 good years. Right now they are good with Kiffin, but they are not the dynasty they think they are.
Now they think their NIL is and will always be better than much richer schools. They actually think they have more money than Penn State and Florida. Penn State is spending $750 million on a stadium renovation and OM cancelled their stadium renovation because they didn't have enough money for that and NIL.
Kiffin IS a really good coach and was smart to hit NIL early. However, Ole Miss would most definitely drop if he left and wherever he goes would be good.
I'm not even saying Kiffin will or should leave. He has it made at OM, big money, big NIL, and lower expectations.
None of this has anything to do with State at all, except that similarly Mullen should have stayed at State, won 8-10 games per year, and he would be way ahead of where he is now.

Don't think for a second that Kiffin wouldn't get Florida to that level and higher while Ole Miss would regress back to the mean.
This same exact mindset has led to a ton of upper-tier schools hiring coaches who elevated lower-tier schools and ended up in a blaze of unglory.
Just because someone does well at one school does not automatically translate into more success at another. We have an entire athletic department on board with Kiffin’s plan and no one has any clue what it would be like at Florida. Is Strickland willing to step aside and let Kiffin run his program or will he micromanage? Kiffin isn’t going to work well with an overbearing boss. You just let him do what he wants to do.
Kiffin has everything he wants at Ole Miss. Florida hasn’t shown that it can sustain a top-tier program level without Baby Jesus 2.0 at quarterback.

Outside of Tim Tebow, they really haven’t. Unfortunately, we didn’t get the benefit of playing in the shitty SEC East for the last 15 years.

The fact that this is what your mind came to after reading what you quoted tells us you really are an idiot.
Of course it would make Florida better than us. But that has nothing to do with Ole Miss currently being a better job than Florida

If Kiffen is offered the Florida job, he's taking it. Everyone with half a brain knows it. The problem is Stricklin may not offer it to him. He is the one who really needs to go.

Probably so.
But Kiffin isn’t leaving Oxford for Gainesville.

You’re more than welcome to give an actual argument…..if you’re able to mentally handle it.
Florida has a higher floor in recent history, for sure. But your Tebow-era success has been an outlier within the timeframe of how old your players have been alive.

The Ole Miss Cum Dumpster is in for a rude awakening when they revert to their six win average after Kiffen leaves.
The good news is their stadium is only half full even during the their greatest run in program history, so not too many people will be affected
What has changed since then? Kiffin is part of the answer. NIL and the transfer rule change is the biggest one of all. Look at Indiana and if it wasn't for NIL and the transfer rule change the HC would not be winning big right now. Same for Kiffin, Drinkwitz, and others.

You mean Ole Miss would revert back to what Florida has been over the past decade?

So zero 10 win seasons since NIL dropped? Weird.
