I’m confused because that looked good to me but then they said he had to use the green bag and he clearly stepped on the white bag but all the announcers were immediately like “yea that’s good” and the umpires confirmed he was safe

Vitello has a great track record, I do think next year will be his hardest year yet losing two guys who’ve crushed baseballs at the top of the lineup for 3 years straight.

I was confused about that as well.
He clearly ran to the white bag which seems to defeat the entire purpose of the safety bag.

Often times more of the borderline players who would normally not leave head to the draft because they are going out on top, in addition to the stars who led the team to the championship. You also get everyone's best shot because you are the defending national champions. I know it may be a completely forgiegn concept to teams that haven't been in that position lately,
