I replayed the replay from the outfield and it looks like he spiked it like he didn't release in time

I assume because the guy behind him was 3-4..
They should have walked both.
But to be fair, the top 3 in the lineup are all really good.
1.097 OPS Honeycutt (0-4)
1.051 OPS Cook (3-4)
1.084 OPS Harber (1-2 with 2 walks)
I can see the argument why you would pitch to him..
but I would have walked him and Cook.
If you get out of it, they don't get to bat next inning.
