Sept 2 - UT-Martin

Someone in another thread said this game might get replaced with a neutral site game with a power 5 opponent. Whether or not that's true I don't know.

UGA is 2-0 all time against Appalachian State.

Withe the requisite jab out of the way, yes, the schedule sucks.

SEC schools shouldn't play FCS teams, period.

OU on the schedule would have made it much better, but money talked.

Ball State, meh, but they were likely chosen due to availability. Rather than teams like Ball State and Kent state, I would rather see UGA rotate G-State and Ga Southern and at least keep the money in state and at least have some sort of relevance/interest.

I don't understand how they've only played A&M once whereas we're about to play them for the 4th time this season (and the 3rd time in College Station).

Meh, it helps fund them.
The rest of the SEC needs to nut up and start playing 2 P5 OOC like UF and UGA are doing.

Its a conspiracy. The SEC Office always makes sure that UGA plays Auburn and whoever the other weakest team from the West is.

Would be awesome if we can replace Ut-martin with a solid P5 team in the annual season opener at Jerryworld in Dallas.

True....but outside of Alabama who in the west looks all that tough?

I mean the west is looking extremely soft, too, so it is not like west teams will have tough schedules.

This week SEC teams rankings are as follows:

1. Georgia
2. Alabama
8. Kentucky
10. Arkansas
11. Tennessee
16. Ole Miss
20. Florida
23. Texas A&M

Teams in bold are ranked that we will play next year. Looks like 4 top 20 teams.

Texas A&M plays:

2. Alabama
10. Arkansas
11. Tennessee
16. Ole Miss
25. Miami

Texas A&M has 5 top 25 teams. (Thank goodness for Miami, I guess?) Then take into consideration thta we had Oklahoma scheduled....I mean.... is it our fault Auburn is not very good? If it were not for a good east team (Tennessee) A&M's schedule would look pretty weak.

true. SEC scheduling cross division rivals leaves a lot to be desired.
