In 2020 Trevor Lawrence was the #1 overall pick in the NFL draft after coming off his best season yet in his junior year, where he finished #2 in Heisman voting.

Now let's see how his numbers compare to Stetson Bennett's 2021 season.

Games Started
Lawrence- 10
Bennett- 11

Passing Yards
Lawrence- 3153
Bennett- 2862

Completion %
Lawrence- 69%
Bennett- 65%

Yards per Attempt
Lawrence- 9.2
Bennett- 10.0

Touchdowns
Lawrence- 24
Bennett- 29

Interceptions
Lawrence- 5
Bennett- 7

Rushing Yards
Lawrence- 208
Bennett- 259

QB Rating
Lawrence- 169.2
Bennett- 176.7

Obviously Lawrence is the actual better QB, but it's pretty interesting that Stetson was statistically better than 2020 Heisman Runner Up this year.

From an NFL perspective, Lawrence can throw it 70 yards with lower trajectory and Bennett floats a 45 harder. That's your difference, and it matters a lot

What makes that obvious?

The Jags offense isn’t THAT bad, or THAT devoid of playmakers.

Yes.

But also sort of irrelevant to the thread's purpose, I think. Which I would say aims to add perspective to Stetson's season not to say TL was not talented or worthy of a top NFL draft pick

TL might just end up a bust. Davis Mills kinda shits on any narrative about Lawrence's support. Dude was way better despite similar talent around him

Total horseshite. Anyone that voted for Lawrence over Mac should have had their vote taken away

This actually isn't true. Stet can throw it 60+ yards and has done so multiple times this year. The one to AD in the Natty was 55 yards in the air.

I know a guy who works with the team and he said that Stet can throw it farther than JT, Brock or Beck. Of course his are in the air like 3 seconds longer

People who type it "jawga" are the true imbeciles.

Jawga = Jaw guh
Gawga = Gaw guh
Gawja = Gaw juh

Jawja= Jaw juh. Or, the phonetic spelling of a southern drawl pronunciation of Georgia.

Difference is

That's Trevor's Lawrence lowest point. And that's Bennett's highest.

Bennetts Ceiling is Lawrence's floor.

Exactly. This won't get it done in the NFL. But, I will be pulling for him once he gets there.

When it comes to Stetson Bennett nothing matters more than people's pre-conceived ideas concerning one Stetson Bennett. I know he does not have an upside anything like the top QBs in college.

I do believe he will be one of the better QBs in the SEC next fall. I do think Todd Monken has done wonders with him when it comes to playing the QB position.

Now throw Big Dick Joe Burreaux in there. You know, Stetson would have been his official piss boy and ball washer.
