I see a lot of talk on here about an asterisk season but isn't a 10 game SEC tougher than a regular 12 game season with only 8 in conference? If not, explain.

Last year that was an LSU fan talking point, but now most of that talk is coming from people who are mocking those LSU fans.

The thing that separates 2021 Alabama from 2020 Alabama is the talent we lost.

Mac Jones - starting QB for the New England Patriots
Najee Harris - starting RB for the Pittsburgh Steelers
DeVonta Smith - starting WR for the Philadelphia Eagles
Jaylen Waddle - starting WR for the Miami Dolphins
Alex Leatherwood - starting OG for the Las Vegas Raiders
Landon Dickerson - starting C for the Philadelphia Eagles
Patrick Surtain - starting CB for the Denver Broncos

While Alabama loses a lot of talent to the NFL every year, this is one of those rare instances where just about ever single leader on offense and on defense from a national championship team left the team for the pros. We are very young and many of the contributors from last year's team have yet to blossom into the leaders we need them to be in 2021.

Yeah but their SOS was questionable. I mean, they scheduled and anal raped the cupcake known as Georgia for the love of R. Kelly's piss.

If I were an Alabama fan, I would point out that they played a 10 game (11 counting the SECCG) all SEC season, and did not play the worst 2 teams in the conference (SC and Vandy). That alone makes up for not playing 3 cupcakes and USC (who couldn't win it's conference championship game).

This is an excellent (and well thought-out) post.
Tide fans have grown accustomed to having leaders-in-waiting as they move on to the NFL. The fact that they were leaders actually solidified their value as an NFL players. This year we've not seen that emergence of those leaders. With the exception of Landon Dickerson, they have ALL been groomed from their freshman year up until the time that the torch was passed.
So far, it hasn't happened, and we're running out of time. Let's hope that this week will bring out the best in some of these young men!

Yes, the Aggies have celebrated 6 national titles and I want to jump on the bandwagon.

Seriously, I know most people are just smack talking on here about the asterisk season, but some people I know really believe it is true. I just never understood why.

We will kick Alabama's arse next season.

I’m 57 and I’ve never even accidentally written your for you’re. It’s the same crap with people writing should of or could of or would of instead of should have or could have or would have. Our public education system is broken. The DOE should be eliminated.

Of the 11 SEC teams Alabama did play, the only 2 they did NOT play last year were Vanderbilt and South Carolina, who both finished in last place.
