2019 recruiting comparison: Bama and LSU offenses

According to recruiting services, the talent gap between the two last season was even wider than I thought. I think Marshall, Chase and Charles were LSU's only offensive starters who had been top 100 recruits. UGA probably had a similar advantage vs LSU on paper

The 2019 #Bama offense was soooo stacked.
Their aggregate starter was a Natl. 75th ranked player. (Only 2 starters were outside the Top 100)
#LSU's aggregate starter was a Natl. 558th ranked player. (Only had 3 starters INSIDE the Top 100)

Burrow was the difference

That’s the answer. Those WRs were outstanding too

Nana played a piss poor first half. Would’ve been nice had we not stepped on our dicks. That second half was outstanding.

Its a testament to coaching and work ethic that CEH was a 3* to a 1st round pick

That's some pretty skewed data when you consider that Cushenberry, Jefferson, and Carter weren't ranked. Looking at the previous 3 classes almost all the other recruits were in the top 500 or better.

Is that the revisionist history you’re going with?

Aggy fixation on Bama is bizarre to say the least. I'd be uneasy about it if i were a Bammer and happened to notice it

Carter isn't listed as a starter LINK

Oof, bama bump didn’t help. You hate to see it.

Then I’d like to see where he got his numbers from with each starters ranking.

Coaching is the difference.
LSU has the X Factor - or should I say - the E Factor.

In comparing the two, Bama has been (and continues to be) even more stacked at WR than other positions for some reason it appears; LSU reached a comparable level last season (though Jefferson was obv a diamond in the rough). Miles left us a good deal of talent at certain positions, but not WR

The recruiting services just missed on LSU's guys. Plain and simple. Talent comes in all shapes and sizes. CEH and JJ proved that.

Don’t forget Damian Lewis who was a rated a low 3* JUCO recruit

The gap is a myth. LSU always send plenty of players to the league. Trust the coaches and not some internet scout
