I understand reading can be hard. "Better than you think" has relative meaning.
Relative - considered in relation or in proportion to something else. (Google)
LSU was projected 6-6 in 2018, but went 9-3 (in conf)
Relatively, LSU was better than people thought they were.

I dont think our collective doubt will have any impact on how good LSU is or isn't this year. I'm sure it will have more to do with whether or not they can effectively replace 17 starters from last years team and if they have any depth at all. And it will also have to do with their competition.
