-Zero undefeated teams in the playoffs
-Urban Meyer and Nick Saban both had to stump for their team to get the #4 seed
-2-loss auburn would have gone to the playoffs had they won the SEC Championship game
-Troy beat LSU, who beat Auburn, who beat Alabama and Georgia, who played each other for the national title.
-Witnessing the downfall of the shark molester was hilarious
-LSU fans wanted Coach O fired
-Mississippi State nearly beat Alabama
-Auburn beat the #1 team in the country by double digits two weeks in a row
-almost half the coaches in the SEC were fired or left their school before the end of the year
-UGA/Oklahoma in the Rose bowl is an all time great game
-UGA/Bama in the title game is all all time great game

I don’t think any of those 4 playoff teams make the playoffs in 2019 (maybe one was better than 2019 Oklahoma) but it was a fun year with some chaos.

Auburn also gave us 11 sacks in one game that year against Clemson.

Was a wild year for sure. LSU was blown out by Miss State and lost to Troy. Yet somehow LSU squeaked by Florida in Gainesville. Their kicker missed an XP for a final score of 17-16. Then down by 20 at home, LSU rallies back for the W against the eventual SECW champ. Realy odd series of events.

Fans of Les Miles who were pissed about the situation from 2016 wanted O fired.

I really liked the team State had that year. Probably should've gone 10-2 in the regular season (they had Bama beat and then the Fitz injury in the Egg Bowl) but they still went 9-4 with blowout wins against LSU and on the road at A&M. Yes, Georgia and Auburn crushed us, but otherwise that was a good team. Grantham's defense was a lot of fun with the talent he had to work with (Simmons, Sweat, Abram, etc.)

It goes to show you how far Auburn went in the year. they went from giving up 11 sacks to almost making the playoffs and beating two #1 teams during the regular season. That is amazing.

Yep. We had the ball last with a chance to take the lead. That game really showed how poor of an in game decision maker Dabo really is when he went for it on 4th instead of putting the game away with a field goal. Dabo cheats his arse off to get talent because he really is a shitty coach.

Would've been great if LSU had won the SEC title after losing to Troy. The Bama game was closer than the score imo, JK Scott just kept killing us with field position
