They have no right to be pissed. Fraley should have been called safe immediately due to the catcher blocking the plate without the ball

I'm not sure having your leg standing up is considered blocking the plate. Having your foot to knee blocking it definitely is. I'm not sure on that.

What is blocking the plate then? Foot is in front the plate. Runner slides into said foot and doesn't reach plate. Sounds like blocking the plate to me.

Blocking the plate because that is where the ball is being thrown. Completely within his right to be there. Read some rules. Karma is karma though, and you lsu fans that are so happy about a botched call are going to feel it. May not be this game, it may be when you lose in the regionals or supers.. But I do know with that karma, you're not going to Omaha.

Look at the picture. His entire leg, hip, and foot are blocking the plate from Fraley before having the ball. Clear cut should have been ruled safe regardless of the tag at that point
