assuming that Florida remains our permanent rival, does that mean that we get USCe in 2012, and a different team in 2013? so that USCe wouldnt get a return trip from LSU until 2018?
I think the schedules are set for two years... You will make a return trip to USCe in 2013...

Of course you like watching your older/stronger step brother. Fact of the matter is that nobody cares unless it has SEC implications for the entire conference. It hasn't in quite some time because Tenn has been so mediocre. It's inequitable, and losing that rivalry every year would go unnoticed to basically the entire country.

I don't know about that. Our AD made it sound like they are just getting this years schedule set and then will look at it again over the next year for a long term plan.

Can't you say the same about any game? Most people don't care about it unless both teams are respectable. And fwiw I like watching it because all my relatives are either Tennessee or Alabama fans if they're not Auburn fans so I always have someone to crack on.

Who gives a shite about OOC scheduling? Ours was tougher than anyone's this year and it doesn't mean a thing.
Um, yeah it did

Hence why the constants don't make sense.

Well, we don't know if any changes with the constants are going to take place but gaining maybe the best team in the East with the changes is typical. The entire structure is a sham though and results like these occur all too often because of a game nobody cares about outside of Tenn and Alabama.
The AU-UGA game has actually been going on for longer so it wasn't just the 3rd Sat in Oct game. They also could have moved both AU and UA to the East and moved Vandy to the West and preserved those games, but that would've left 5 of the Big 6 in the same division and LSU with no competition whatsoever, which I'm sure you would've preferred.

The constant opponent creates schedule inequities and when deciding west and east champion in football its unfair
Georgia got a gift avoiding LSU and Bama this year and if not for that USC would've played in the SEC title game

No, it didn't. Had we lost it would have likely mattered. But if we didn't have Oregon or West Virginia on our schedule, we would still be in the title game.

This is what I'm saying. Nobody wants to have a complete shite non-con

That's true, but how many conferences arrange their entire season to accommodate one meaningless, blowout game that no one outside those fanbases cares about?

You're just mad you dont have a good rival. I love playing Uga every year and could give a shite what anyone else outside the fan bases think. You just don't understand because you don't have that true rival.

This schedule is for one year and then they'll make a long term rotation in 2013.

So what? I realize that. But if I used my brother-in-law and everyone I've talked to in UGA over the years in my family about it, that game isn't any more important than the others and far less important than UF and GTech.

Didn't affect auburns schedule

i am with you, the LSU fans can't empathize so they just choose to bitch apparently
if the SEC even dared disturb our rivalries with AU and or UF i'd expect our school to threaten secession, i'd be that pissed

I really don't though. Everyone throws that around like it affects LSU fans but it doesn't.

This is basically how I feel about the 3rd Saturday. If LSU fans don't like it, who gives a frick? That game is important to Bama and Tennessee and that's why we keep it.
