wrong conference

It took Arkansas being stagnant in adding conference championships and LSU to having their greatest decade in program history for them to catch up and over take Arkansas in this department.

All the while LSU didn't have to play all the other conference members every season like Arkansas did in the SWC.

Both do recruit Oklahoma, they do not rely on Oklahoma to fill their rosters like they do with Texas. Arkansas has beaten both schools out for recruits from Oklahoma since Petrino has been here...

The announcer mentioned a total of 4 Oklahomans starting at the 44 positions during the 2010 game between the two schools.
Bet the Arky/Arky State game has more than 4 Arkansans starting. Wait, that game does not happen because Arky is afraid of State!

In his first two years, Petrino beat no one that finished ranked. In 2010, he beat four ranked teams. In 2011, he beat twqo, one of which was top 10 south carolina.

6 top 25
2 top 10 (*one of which was LSU)

Yea, and the SEC wasn't anywhere close to what it's become.

Ironically, there were times before the SEC had divisions that LSU played as many SWC teams as they did from the SEC.

I sleep fine. The SEC before 2000 was pretty much Bama and everyone else. Their were years other teams were good, but nothing like it is now.

LSU played Rice and Baylor almost as often as Arkansas did back then...

Wrong! Check Tigers' schedule from 60s until '92.SWC teams were the soft non conference games prior to SEC games.

Add Tennessee in there with us as well, they've traditionally been pretty solid..
