I'm normally against mid-season firings, but Auburn has flat out quit... just laid down and died. I don't see the point of letting Chizik finish the season. On the other hand, I don't know enough about the program to know how to bring in to finish up the season.

If Petrino really is our guy, I would go ahead and hire him to finish the year and let him work with the coaches in place and do what he wants with them at the end of the year.
