I do love watching me some JFF play. He's like a little kid out there playing a pickup game.

I know at some point he's going to get hurt, but man I love watching him for now.

WTF?

We were winning 14-7 at halftime of that game.

Long story, but after his early successes at A&M, RC became convinced he knew something about offense. He began interfering with the offense when we were struggling in 1992. We were playing nobodies and winning, but struggling offensively.

Notre Dame killed us in the 1993 Cotton Bowl. Toledo opened it up against them in the first half in 1994. Slocum didn't like it, and they had it out in the tunnel on the way to the locker room. It was the last straw after two seasons of bad blood.

I know this because I have a good friend at work who remains close to Toledo from his days at A&M.

If you followed us back in RC's days, no big loss was ever his fault. He tended to throw his coaches under the bus after any significant loss.

Yep. And probably several other guys who don't see much PT.
But Showers is just about as stout as any QB, so I'm not sure the offensive machine will slow down much.

I've only left 1 game early in my entire life (A&M won it, it was to watch the yell leaders get tossed into fish pond), and I would have left this trainwreck already.

A&M needs to call off the dogs in the 2nd half.... This is brutal.

He's more likely to get hurt in the pocket than when he's running downfield, when he's at no more risk than any running back or receiver, and he can anticipate contact and protect himself.

I'm so tired of hearing this.
