That sounds like Charlie Strong in Austin.

But that contract comes with pressure. Texas A&N isn’t paying him $7.5 million a year to win the Texas Bowl.

Oof! Not a good look!

Being HC at aggy literally drove him to alcoholism and broke him as a HC.

Let's be honest, having to deal with that gay cult everyday would drive most sane people to insolvency.

Exactly saying Jimbo is on hot seat is some stupid shite.

He might be...under any other normal situation....but there's nothing normal about Aggy.

And that contract is god awful....any Aggy saying otherwise is just practicing complete homerism.

Jimbo isn’t on the hot seat. His contract is guaranteed.

Until he loses to Arkansas. Then they'll find the $$ to run him off.

Little chance ? His recruiting at USC is fricking atrocious. It’s an easy top ten recruiting class every year. You think he can recruit to fricking Missouri ?

In regards to Jimbo, 2 years in is way too early to declare anything. Where was Ed O on these lists 2 years in? Most LSU friends I have wanted him gone.

Recruiting wise, he’s been great. If those recruiting classes don’t start translating into wins, then that’s telling.

I am still shocked USC kept Clay Helton. Made no sense.

This. i, with zero coaching experience and 0 reason to think im gonna help anyone get to the league could convince 25 better players to goto usc than helton did this year.

His recruiting has basically been sabotaged by his own administration and fans.

Rumors about his firing and potential replacements have swirled weekly for 2 seasons now. Pretty hard to attract top talent when everyone assumes you're a dead man walking.

You got to give Ed credit for getting the right coaches on his staff. That is what saved him and now we shall see if he can continue to win when coaches are leaving him for promotion.
Look what Nick Saban have done when coaches leave year after year and he is still winning and it just last year was when it is now showing that he is slipping a little bit. Might bounce back or not. This also might be that he is getting old and could not keep it up. No one really knows for sure. Wait a few more years.

Fisher nor Frost are NOT on any hot seat which means in danger of losing their jobs. It's all or nothing for A&M with Fisher. Top 15 type but he doesn't need to lose to anyone ever again by about 50. But he'll likely be there a long time and will be successful in an occasional 8, steady 9/10 win fashion which is damn strong for an SEC west club. Frost is safe at NU for the next couple of years then he needs to win. He will slowly recruit better and is a solid coach. They need players.

Diaz...who knows. Edsall WGAS. Mason is he best VU is gonna do. WM needs to win this year. They have given him a fair chance and his team should respond this year, needs about 9 w's. He'll cheat, knows the game and works hard so he has a chance. Problem is he has Clemson, UGA and UF and UT is coming. Throw in an Alabama, LSU or AU almost half the time and the margin for error is small. Kelly, the Gators dodged a bullet. Herman is the second of two UT mistakes. He should win this year but damn, he can't even recruit at Texas. LOL @ the idiot LSU fans who were trying to fire their AD for "losing" him to the Horns. Sumlin is fat and happy after stealing money for a few years. Helton is just now starting to recruit some players @ USC. It's like he didn't know that was part of the job. Probably a little late. Knew he and his brother when they were children. That's all I got.

Let's clarify about Jimbo, something the author chooses not to do.

This is the year A&M finds out if they have a chance with Jimbo or not. If he can't win at least 10 regular season games with this returning production and schedule, then Aggy knows they've made a mistake and you can expect them to stay at around 7-5 during Jimbo's tenure.

And, of course, due to the stupid contract they gave him, they're screwed. So it's not Jimbo on the hot seat so much as the rocket surgeons who gave him his contract.

FTR, I'd put the guy at Tulsa at 10th, not CJF.

Based on what? I have no idea how Helton still has a job.
