You're f###in clueless. Alabama was actually at a higher more consistent level throughout the 70s, 80s, and early to mid 90s than when Gottfried was there. At least do some very basic research before running your uninformed pie hole.
Tell me how many times Bama was briefly ranked #1 in the pools.
Tell me about all the magical final four years at Bama.

Apparently Dale saw the "Worst Rant Poster" thread and was offended that he wasn't the first one mentioned.
Keep doing you, Dale.

They completely choked at Wichita. Led by double figures with like 3 minutes. Grant died that night for me.

I watched the game. Was rooting hard for Bama. Fan of a MVC school developing a rivalry with Wichita. Marshall is good for the MVC, but he's such a prick on the sideline.

I wasn't aware Illinois had WSU on their schedule.

CMG got us to #1 briefly before nearly becoming the first ever #1 ranked team to miss the tournament. I'd rather discuss the MUCH more consistent program routinely ranked in the Top 25 throughout the 70s, 80s, and early to mid 90s. Alabama missed the tournament just twice from the time I was in kindergarten till the time I graduated from Alabama.

I would be pro returning Illinois and Missouri series in St Louis. Lopsided football results, but could be a good rivalry if Illinois every figured it out.
Yeah, I used to enjoy the basketball series too. But that was back in the days of the Checkerdome, even if we always got our arse handed to us. That place was loud and rowdy. ScottTrade is nice but sterile.

Coleman Coliseum isn't THAT bad. You act like the arena Wichita State plays in is Madison Square Garden. Next you're going to tell us how much better Wichita State's campus, athletic department, and school is than Alabama...lol.
WSU arena > Coleman by far
and don't show me any dumb fricking pics of your practice facility

So you want participation ribbons, not trophies.

Jesus Christ. How much more success has your school had in basketball since 1994. Don't even bring up other sports. You fricking idiots have been the death of this board.

Since 1949, Alabama has had the 26th most appearances in the AP.
Between 1973-1992, we were #11 in total AP appearances, with an average rank of #12.6 with a peak rank of #3.

We have a final four since then.
How many has bama had? All time, including the decade prior to Arkansas having a program.

Illinois has more national championships than Baylor. Nice try.

Even the Big 12 schools in Texas don't take Baylor seriously and no one wanted you when expansion talks started up. Btw, what the flying frick had Baylor EVER done up until the last 6 or 7 years in basketball or football?
