Curious, what parallels if any are being made from the Miss St vs Auburn game that AU won 17-14?

secondly, how many points do you think Auburn scores.

That was the best defense Auburn has faced all year, and we saw that they kept Cam in check and even caused him to throw a few picks.

Honestly, I expect Auburn to score 23-27.

Both LSU and MSU have stout front sevens that play disciplined football, the key to stopping AU.

No real parallels, but I would say that is shows that AU can be stuffed by a competent defensive game plan that neutralizes Cam Newton.

My prediction for this game is 27-23 in favor of LSU.

i wish this damn game would get here already. I am tired of the threads, since MSU has played both lsu and auburn, which is better IYO.

Auburn hasnt seen a defense like this.

Lsu hasnt seen an offense like this..

Everytime i see these threads i wanna

I don't really think you can do this. Cam's first SEC and first road start...the offense has done nothing but improve since then...not to say that LSU's D hasn't improved either but I don't think anyone would doubt who is playing the better ball of late.

although apparently some think this plays into LSU's hands.

I couldn't agree more I was just curious how much they took from this game. Other than what you posted if you take some LSU fans logic since MSU is ranked higher than them in every offensive category or close to it and we held them to 14 at their stadium than things do not look good for them.

However, my real point of doing this is looking at what happened in another game doesn't really matter due to many variables. It will be a hard fought game and the one to watch on Saturday College Football.

We do have the best overall defense in the nation out of BCS conferences , an all American candidate on the DL, LB, and DB, and depth.

TCU and Boise are the only overall defenses ahead of us and they have offenses that can actually sustain drives. Just imagine how much nastier our D stats would be if our offense held the ball longer. Sheppard, Baker, Loston, and Reid are the only defenders we have that go for the kill shot. The rest are very solid tacklers and that will come in handy versus Cam.

Auburn's secondary is already pitiful and missing two starters for this game. I won't be hurt if Auburn beats us, I just hope we don't beat ourselves. I watched Vince Young beat a few teams all by himself and Cam seems just as talented as him.

to Auburn. That was always my favorite game in our glory years (2003-2007). Good to see both teams in the top ten past week 5 this year.

to you Street here's to a injury free hard fought game. After the last couple of years I couldn't be happier seeing our teams play for best record in SEC and move up our stock in the BCS talk.

Yeah, that's why you don't throw 5 interceptions.
