Is UT better than their record?

5 losses, but to some pretty good teams. If AU had played UTs schedule there is a good chance we have 3 or 4 losses at this point (hell maybe even 5).

No.. Can't believe we lost that game.

I don't know that getting blown out by good teams, necessarily makes you a decent team.

They're a hell of a lot better than Arkansas

Close games at home with UGA (a loss) and USC (a win).
It has me a little concerned.

While they have played a very hard schedule, they have not been competitive in against hte top teams they have faced.
They have played against 3 Top 10 teams and gotten the shite beat out of them all three times.
UGA was only close bec of injuries.

No there not, defense got embarrassed by Alabama, and Oregon
And QB is sup par should be an easy game this weekend

Close game with South Alabama as well. It's a game Auburn should win.

UT used to have one of the best home field advantages in the country. It was insane.
Butch has brought that back in year one. That's the biggest difference right now between Dooley and Jones.
ANY team traveling to Neyland should be concerned

They beat USCe at home for an 11 a.m. start. Maybe I'm still suffering from the wounds of last year, but I'm not overly confident in this game.

bottom line... if we don't turn the ball over, we win this game with relative ease. UT has severe talent gaps at almost every position group, including the entire defense.
They have two talented/young WRs, and an underperforming OL... that's really it. On top of that, we're just not a good matchup for UT, IMO... our speed to the corners will exploit their overall lack of team speed on defense... and Auburn's played much better defense vs. spread teams than more traditional offenses.

Granted I did not see one play from that game...but they needed an injury from Shaw and a last second FG to win.
I was worried about Arkansas but the way we came out and dominated the line of scrimmage(UTs strenght), I am not concerned about UT now.

Yeah and it's amazing how much this team feeds off of the home crowd. It's like a completely different team at home. Too bad this isn't a night game, Neyland would be a fricking zoo if it were. I still expect a very strong atmosphere for a noon kickoff.

Arkansas concerned me more than Tennessee... Ark had the bye week to prepare while UT is coming off a brutal two week road trip.

If they make a bowl game and align them with someone based on their record, they will pound a lot of mediocre teams.

I agree we should win this game, but I still worry about turnovers, bad breaks and Jake Holland.
Still, looking at their schedule, they aren't a typical 5 loss teams. Lots of teams, even decent ones, would have 4-6 losses against that line up.

Our defense is so Jekyll and Hyde it's sad. We completely took Shaw's running ability away from his and that was one of the keys to beating SC. On the other hand, Mauk absolutely destroyed us with his legs and that's what killed UT.
I may be wrong but I look for Marshall to absolutely murder us with his running ability.

Tennessee was dumb for ever scheduling @Oregon the week before @Florida.

IMO, it's not that they've lost, but it's how they've lost. They've played one good half of football against UGA(but still lost) and needed several breaks to beat a sluggish USCe team... color me unimpressed.
Mizzou had over 330 rushing yards Saturday... we I think we call all agree Auburn has a better overall rushing attack that Mizzou.

I watched that UGA game and watched them early in the season. They played real bad against WKU and got up on 5 straight TOs.
Thier OL has some NFL talent adn North is a legit WR but that is relaly about it.
Our DL nees a bounce back game and harrassing that new freshman Qb could make a long day for UT.
I like that it is an early game. Get in, get your work done, get back to Au that evening. Bigger fish to fry coming up.
