Tennessee should petition to move into the Big East

As it stands, I really don't see any way the Vols consistently make it back to the bowl season. Sure we may make a BBVA compass bowl every 4 or 5 years, but that's just not enough for me.
We really need to move into the Big East.
1. Butch is a proven commodity in that league.
2. we'll be able to play against arch nemisis University of Memphis every year
3. The competition is more comprable to our program, and winning 7 to 9 games a season is not entirely out of the question.
It's really a no brainer for me.

While I am not excited about the hire, as a UT alum and fan, it is clear to me that you should eat a 50lb bag of dicks for making such a statment.

I'm a fan and alumnus, and I'm entitled to my own opinions.
The Big East is just a better fit right now, sorry if you disagree. Your response was extremely childish, and I'm embarrassed a person of your ilk was able to receive a degree from my institution.

Tennessee just needs to run a clean program for the next couple of years. There are not a lot of good available coaches right now that would take the Tenn. job. Go after the best when available in a few years, when things have calmed down.
