Georgia vs Florida Neutrality Issues

Why does Florida fight tooth and nail against rotating the neutral location from J'ville to ATL back and forth each year? Why do they say it would be a home game to have it in the GA Dome, while also saying Jacksonville is a neutral location?
I have my personal opinion, but I'd like to get some other opinions first.
These distances are from Google Maps.
Gainesville to Jacksonville- 71 miles
Athens to Jacksonville- 303 miles
Athens to ATL- 71 miles
Gainesville to ATL- 332 miles

would rather just do home and home if it came to that because tailgating in downtown ATL sucks arse.

This is new and refreshing.
Build a stadium along the GA/FL border and then rotate all you want.
Also, football is an outdoor sport.

Florida fans are used to playing in Atlanta in December. Why would we want to visit that shithole of a city/state twice in a month+ ??

I'd rather not have 50,000 Florida fans in Athens, nor would I want to go anywhere near Gainesville if I don't have to.
At the Dome we could still split the ticket sales, same as Jville. I wouldn't want 50,000 gator fans anywhere near my stadium or town, any more than you would want us drunken leghumpers in Gville. A typical visitor lot of tickets I could handle, but not half.

Exactly! Why ruin the WLOCP? If the game goes anywhere else, except close to the border, the crowd will change dramatically. There will no longer be an even number of fans from each team, year in & year out. With the game close to the border, it is the fairest for fans of both teams. Driving times from N Ga & S Fl are about the same. And if the game goes to Atlanta, the tailgating and pregame activities will not be close to the atmosphere in Jax. They don't have room for the "RV City" atmosphere that Jax has. Leave the WLOCP alone!

Atlanta doesn't have a beach to party on before a game. Atlanta doesn't have water where everyone parks their yachts and people hop from boat to boat getting smashed on Friday night. Atlanta doesn't have the Landing, where Gator fans talk shite to UGA fans & grind on your women all night. Atlanta has a bunch of homosexuals infected with the HIV virus.

Addressing an off-topic post from a gator fan in another thread-
"UGA flies so they probably get there quicker than UF"
It takes an hour and a half for the UGA buses to get to the airport... same amount of time it takes for Florida buses to get to Jacksonville. With the state patrol escort, probably quicker.

Dude! Are you saying that the Gators have an advantage because the Dawgs have to fly? GTFO! Are you saying that the flight takes a physical toll on the Dawgs' finely tuned athletes? GTFO!

So we are almost through page 1, and every single Florida fan wants to keep it in J'ville.
That should tell you something.

That 30 minute flight takes a toll on those poor pups. Dogs get jet lagged easily

It takes an hour and half to get buses to the airport in Athens? I was under the impression they no longer drive to Atlanta to fly anywhere.

So Florida shouldn't mind a quick 30 minute flight to ATL every other year?

That 20 something dorks who discuss things on the internet have no real power to change a damn thing.
The game is played in Jax because the boosters with the money and power behind both schools want it to be. When that changes, the site will change. Until then, quit bitching.

What kind of jets that go 800 mph are flying UGA's roster and staff out of Ben Eppes airport?

That Georgia fans are stupid? I don't give a frick where we play u. I would love to get rid of the game just so puppies would quit being vaginas about it. It is as neutral as u can get.
Sorry that UF is closer to the state line than uga.

Considering Georgia still maintains the series lead even though Florida gets it as a home game every year should tell you how bad the Gators really suck. Can you imagine what the record would be if the Michigan/Ohio State series were to be played in Ohio every year? I bet Michigan wouldn't be in the lead.

Dude! It's not about the players, even though this game has the feeling of a bowl game. I'm sure the Dawg players look forward to getting on that plane to Jax. I've never heard any of them complain. It is about the fans, the national attention, and the tradition that this game has achieved since it was played at Jax. Moving it anywhere else will make it "just another game".
