Why does Arkansas seem to have so much trouble with players getting in trouble?

I noticed a trend with Arky in the Fulmer Cup...

Here is 2012 (Arky at #1):

Here is 2008 (Arky at #5):

It just seems like Arky has had trouble controlling players lately. It looked like they were getting better in 2009 and 2010, then it started up again. Yes, I am aware that Auburn won 2011's Fulmer Cup. But you won't see them on multiple Fulmer Cups like with Arky. We just had 4 morons that decided to go all out like a bunch of dumbasses. Other than that, we just have an arrest every now and then for something small. Examples: 1) OMAC driving without license 2) Zeke Pike getting arrested for public intoxication

You've obviously never dealt with Fayetteville PD or the campus PD. It's a damn race to see who can arrest more people, write more tickets, and hog players are bonus points.

I don't live there, so no.

Georgia fans also say their campus PD, and such, are bad.

I don't know about the past years, but weren't pretty much all of them this year burglaries? Blaming that on campus PD being uptight is pretty ridiculous.

This year was different ane that's why we have 68 points instead of 19.

Come hang out in Fayetteville for a semester and you will understand what we mean.

This year but our AD put out a statement at the time refuting that study. A lot of those guys were things like parking violations. I'll see if I can find it. It made the whole SI report seem pretty laughable.

Here it is:

quote:

Long broke down the 18 players who have been involved in incidents on the 2010 roster. The violations included: Seven for traffic violations that did not involve alcohol or any other illegal substances, three for driving while intoxicated, five involved in the illegal use or possession of alcohol, two for marijuana possession and one for shoplifting.

The DWIs and weed possession would probably happen anywhere, as well as some of the minor alcohol violations (I assume they're stuff like MIP and PI). The traffic violations are definitely BS

FWIW The only stuff I consider to be bad in there is DWI and shoplifting.

So "parking violations" were only factored in for Arkansas to skew the numbers. As always, blatant bias to keep the Hogs down!!

That SI story was all sorts of horseshite. It counted FTA on traffic tickets the same as aggravated sexual assault.

Lots of inconsistencies in the compiling of data.

This year I figure it is because of Petrino - when your coach gets in trouble it is like hitting a triple word score in scrabble

You know for as much of a "hardass" reputation that Petrino got, he was one abortion of a disciplinarian. Guy couldn't keep his pants zipped, running crazed and bare assed around campus. Unacceptable. That man had the devil in him.
