He is also not a very good runner and has the flight instincts of a sloth

As much as I want him to succeed, Dart was useless for most of last year—quite possibly the worst QB in the SEC. If our RBs weren’t moving us down the field, we didn’t move. Sure, he had a couple of moments, but he’s got to improve A LOT if we’re going to win 6-8 games next season. It was easy to see how our RBs got bogged down late in the year once teams realized how bad he was. I love that we’re going to have other options. We don’t owe him anything more than an opportunity to compete.
And while they aren’t completely blameless, It’s hard to blame Lane/Weiss Jr. for going to the well too often on the ground when our QB play was so abjectly awful.

Pretty much all of this. I give Dart props for toughness but I suspect he’s just dumb and can’t process the game at this level.

it's obvious he wasn't impressive against the tougher half of the schedule, but I'm going to hold off until after a few games next season before writing him off.
Dart was basically a RS Freshman having to follow in the footsteps of a 3rd round draft pick QB and had a pretty bare receiving corps.
We really need those transfer receivers to step up.

I’m not suggesting dumping the kid for the shiny new thing by any means just proffering my opinion on why we struggled. He’s probably smarter than me tbh. And plus one on the receivers we have to have a true number one to compete and open the lanes for Q

He was basically a true freshman (early enrollee) showing up on a new campus, with a new coach, a new offensive scheme, and new team mates on January 29, 2022. He will beat out the other two qb's.

I think Dart beats out Sanders and supposedly Howard is fine backing up Dart and waiting his turn while he learns the system. I would be surprised if Sanders stays with us beyond the spring

The biggest issue with Dart is that he didn’t seem to get any better as the year progressed.
Like I said, I hope he balls out this year, but I won’t be shocked if Sanders is starting against Tulane.

In his defense, our offensive line didn’t do him any favors. He was getting hammered

our SOS also went up DRAMATICALLY as the season progressed.

Not sure what games you were watching but IMO he played much better as the season progressed. I mean he had no TE, Heath/Wade were only WRs who could separate and an OL that couldn’t pass block geriatric kindergarten teachers.

Yea dart did not play terribly. Oline being unable to pass block was the biggest issue. His stats were better than sanders I believe or at least close
