Just want to point out that your argument that Barnes > Kennedy would also say that Nutt > Freeze if all Freeze does is make us a perennial bowl team.

Actually I think it's more like if Barnes is Nutt then Kennedy is Freeze if Freeze were to get us to 5 wins going into the egg bowl and we win one every 8 years.

the NIT is the equivalent to a lower-tier bowl.
And I'd much rather have 4 straight lower-tier bowls than two cotton bowls and the bottom of the barrel seasons after.

Really stupid comparison. If the standards for making the tourney were the same now as then Kennedy would be in most every year.
