I'm over AK. Everything about him. I'm not goin to subject myself to watching another Kennedy coached basketball team.

I'm sure he will win 18-20 games this year because we play in a terrible basketball league and he will beat up on a bunch of directional schools but it doesnt mean he's a good coach. Even with our best team in 20 years we still lost some games we shouldn't have in 2012-13.

I'm just done and I'm not gonna argue about him anymore.

I got news for you. We are a dumpster fire right now. White is seen as being one of the best up and coming coaches in America and he is sitting right there for the taking. Using your logic, we should have kept Nutt and not hired Freeze. A school like ours is going to require taking a risk on a coach at a lower tiered program. We are never hiring a big name in basketball, and, even if we did, they would jump ship after the first good season.

It could be worse at least you don't have Rick Ray. He makes the last 3 years of Rod Barnes look like a great job of coaching.

All this may be true, but the bottom line is our basketball fan support is garbage and has been ever since I can remember. People don't show up until SEC play. That doesn't change with a new coach.

I wonder what Hugh Freeze could do if he wasn't coaching the football team and had the whole offseason to work with them.

We could swap coaches.

But, as said by others, if basketball has to be sacrificed for good football & baseball...

AK is the winningest coach in school history and gets people with the ability to play college basketball to play in the freaking TAD PAD. But this man should be fired before having the chance to play in a stadium that he helped get built?

Yep. 1 tourney appearance in almost a decade. Terrible losses to awful teams every year. It really shows.

I'm not saying these kids don't have ability or talent, but frick if we aren't using it. This winningest coach argument doesn't work when he simply changed our schedule when he came in for an easier OOC slate and we still drop games that are fricking awful. I swear yall aren't watching the same team I have at home.

I've got news for you. Lets see exactly what we would be firing. A guy two years removed from 27 wins tying the most in school history. A guy that is two years removed from SEC Coach of the year. A guy who in his first six years, had five 20 win seasons. A feat that has only happened with 4 other coaches in the HISTORY of SEC basketball. A guy two years removed from winning a SEC Tournament Championship. A guy who is the all time winningest coach in school history. Only Rick Pitino, Wimp Sanderson, Joe Hall have more wins in their first seven years as SEC coaches.

So once again, why in the HELL would we fire this guy? Ole Miss is the WORST basketball job in the SEC. Period. Worst facilities, no history in basketball, in a state with limited talent.

Kennedy is NOTHING like Nutt. We don't hear about severe academic issues, players rarely get in trouble. Kennedy has won games at a program with no history of winning games. He has been able to go get guys to come play here and the spaceship that is the Tad Pad. To me firing Kennedy is the similar to the UGA fans wanting to get rid of Richt. Grass isn't always greener on the other side.

This all happened because of a man named Marshall Henderson

Yeah Marshall. Oh and Murphy, Buckner, Jarvis, Snoop, etc. All players he got to come play in the flipping Tad Pad, but he doesn't get any credit for that.... Ok

Who is Ole Miss basketball to get rid of the only coach to bring any kind of exposure to the program?
