According to this, Grant Heard made the same salary as Corey Batoon in 2016. How is this possible? Heard has been our receivers coach since Freeze got her, which has been arguably the most successful position when considering production or recruitment, and Batoon has been a coach for 2 years and a shitty one at that. Are Batoon and Freeze's wives best friends or something? Does he have something on Freeze? If I was Grant Heard I'd be pissed so can't blame him if he does leave for Indiana as the rumors are suggesting.

I won't get in to the absurdity of Paul Jackson being the 7th highest paid strength coach.

Please get into why Paul Jackson isn't deserving.

As far as Heard and Batoon, that is probably our floor base for assistant coaches.

The Batoon salary was inexcusable. When is he getting fired? I think Wommack pushed for that. Wommack didn't like to recruit or watch game film so he had others do that for him while he collected his money. WR is Freeze's position so maybe Freeze thought since he was so involved in the position he didn't need to pay well. The strength guy getting that much seems absurd. We don't have Bama, LSU, Oregon money and our players get hurt a lot and our lines seem to get winded at key points in the game.

How can you tell the OL is winded?

Besides we run entirely more plays than the majority of the conference.

Please name one injury that the SC coach is responsible for or could have prevented...I'll wait.

Hell Webster was in the best shape of his life.

I could see Hugh Freeze reducing the intensity of the practices to prevent injuries during practice.

Then during the actual game, you have players who take poor angles and generally tackle/block/fall awkwardly due to the softer practices and thus more injuries.

Please tell me one way in which he is deserving of being paid more than all but 6 strength coaches? Have you not noticed how we get physically dominated by the teams we play. Pushed around, run around, etc.. This guy was the strength coach at Southern Miss, it's not like we stole him from Michigan and had to pay him a bunch of money to leave and I don't think I've heard of anyone trying to steal him away. How's he done getting weight on Michael Howard? Took 5 years for Isaac Gross to gain 10 lbs and he lost all his quickness doing so.

Simple question, how many games did you watch this season did you say physically we are just too fast and too strong for that team? Now subtract the 2 cupcakes and Memphis.

We didn't have a single player get injured because of a angle they took.

Webster tore every ligament in his knee on a freak way he fell. There isn't a workout to prevent that.

Swinney rolled over his leg tearing his acl. You can't prevent that.

Engram I guess could have stretched more, but he had a breakout year. Not sure a hamstring pull before the last game of the season is grounds for SC coach concern.

Fadol Brown had a foot issue. You know a team that has foot strengthening workouts in its workout?

Youngblood broke his leg.

Meanwhile Webster was in the best shape of his career, Sims lost a massive amount of weight, DK and AJ look like seniors physically. It's not the coach, just football.

Strength and Conditioning coaches are only relevant if they suck and need to be replaced.

Someone on Nafoom mentioned [link=(this guy)]https://www.texastech.com/coaches.aspx?rc=707&path=football[/link] as a potential guy for the Oline and a shift to TE for Luke

Please tell me one way he's not deserving and not some mumbo jumbo about being overpowered by teams.

We scored 40+ points against the #1 team in the country and you think we get pushed around?

Michael Howard? Really? Gaining weight isn't something a SC can make happen. Some people metabolism is just too high to gain massive amounts of weight. Hence Issac Gross.

But hey forget Ken Webster who put on nice weight. Forget Sims who loss a massive amount of weight. Forget Aaron Morris and Justin Bell once they put their mind to it losing weight.

Once again a SC can't MAKE anyone do anything. They can only provide the tools to do so.

SC is never brought up until a team starts losing.

Lee Hays, the offensive line coach at Texas Tech, would be kind of an average hire if you ask me. Schematically he would definitely be a better fit but could he recruit? If we hire an o-line coach and Luke moved to TE's then what about Maurice Harris? If his role were changing I think we would've heard by now. He and Freeze are boys from way back. He's not going anywhere.

I''ll give you Webster and Sims, but Morris and Bell were still overweight and out of shape as 5th year seniors. Also, we scored 40+ points against the number 1 team in the country because Chad Kelly made a few throws one or two people in college football could make.

Again, what argument is there for him to be the 7th highest paid Strength and Conditioning Coach in the country. Guess USC, Michigan, Ohio State and all the other big time programs were knocking down the door to steal him away from Southern Miss. Please make the argument that strength and conditioning hasn't been a factor in the games where Arkansas absolutely dominates us physically. I understand maybe you have a personal relationship with some of these coaches or something, but we don't have a single assistant that a top 15-20 program is going to get in a bidding war with us to get.

How can you look on the field and see our SC sucks. I mean what are you basing that off of? The fact that Arkansas who runs a power run game offense pushed around a 4-2-5 defense? That isn't strength, that's scheme. Haynes is 210lbs. Gross is 250lbs. 4-2-5 is almost always gonna get ran over by a power run offense.

As far as Jackson he worked under a great coach Tommy Moffitt. He left and next location won a MAC Championship. He then left and won a CUSA Championship.

As far as teams not trying to take him. How certain are you that teams haven't tried?

So he is the no. 7 guy in the country? Why? We payed a lot of money to Batoon and the SC guy and lost Heard.

I really can't believe I'm having this argument. Give me one reason he deserves to be a top 10 paid strength and conditioning coach? Are you a family member or close friend?
